It has taken some time to get use to since it's my first pellet smoker. Season it first as per instructions then get some good pellets.... No fillers in the pellets or blended wood. Use all wood pellets from Webber or Kingsford (hickory). Don't waste your money on fancy blended wood pellets. My opinion! Smoke your meat first for 30 min. to an hour then cook. My opinion! It's not like a traditional wood smoker at all. I've smoked chicken, fish and made burgers . Does a great job although there are differences in cooking from one end to the other, so watch that. I'm pleased with it, easy to use. Controls temperature well. Love the shut down feature and the drip pan catch.

I can't even get this out of the box. The new thing of smaller/compact shipping methods has gone too far now! I can't even get the fire box/controller unit out of the main grill because it's packed so tightly inside of it. That's two stars down. I'll update if and when we manage to assemble this. Update: After getting this together, it is a complete lie that this has an 8lb hopper. It's more like 2-3lbs it's so small. I poured a 1lb bag of pellets in just for the burn-in and it filled it up at least halfway, plus it burned that entire 1lb to where I had to add another 1lb to complete the burn-in over the 20min I had it on for. Edit June 30. 2025: After using this a few times now, I have to report some details you need to know. First, the temperature control is not accurate so I suggest turning the temperature knob to the next highest setting than what you think you should use. Use a digital thermometer to keep track of whatever you're cooking. 2nd, The inside is VERY small! I could only fit an 18"x12" sheet pan onto the bottom grates in order to use a smoking rack. The top grate is useless because it's so small. Third, the clear out door for the pellets does not have room under it to catch them due to the stand below blocking it. I'd return this but there is no way I can lift the main components or repack this assembly the way it came. Waste of money. I guess there is something to paying more and getting less with the brand name smoker/grills, most don't come with a cover. Don't believe what others have said about taking this with you anywhere! It's over 90lbs and it isn't going anywhere unless you disassemble it or have an open back truck to carry it...and a moving crew! Other than all the above, it does what it's supposed to and that's the only good thing I have to say about it, but you can't do cold smoking because the minimum temperature of this is around 150F-170F which is much higher than a cold smoke. Don't plan on smoking fish or cheese with this!

Brand new out of the box and the augur doesn’t turn. Trying to troubleshoot and will update but man, I will probably just send this back. Should have waited for the better brand to be back in stock. Update: I did return this product. It was a simple process and prompt refund.

This smoker makes some delicious meats. This is my first smoker, and it really impressed me. I didn't need any experience at all, and my meat turned out really good. It was very easy to assemble and start using. It has wheels, so it's easy to maneuver around and put it exactly where you want it.
