  • This is a well-designed, easy to use machine which works well for moderate amounts of snow
Style: Auger-Propelled (No Battery/Charger)
A year ago we moved to a suburb house with a 3-car driveway. I swapped my big snowblower for this EGO single stage battery-operated snowblower. So far I've only used it once but it was with a wet, heavy type of snow that would have been difficult, maybe impossible, for me to shovel. I should point out that this EGO snowblower is a single stage model. Single stage snowblowers do not have the capacity to handle heavy snow as well as the two stage snowblowers. Nevertheless, this EGO snowblower did pretty well. It was able to throw this 2 inch, very heavy snow sufficiently well to clear my 3-car driveway and the sidewalk in front of my house and my neighbors house, though it couldn't throw it very far. This snowblower uses two 56 V batteries. The batteries ran down after approximately 25 minutes. The snowblower was delivered in a box which arrived on time and in good condition. It was surprisingly easy to set it up. In fact, there really wasn't much to do other than to unfold the arms, attached the chute and put in the batteries. That was very easy and only took about 10 or 15 minutes to do. The instructions were clear and the operation only required one torx wrench which was provided along with two screws to attach the chute. In sum, I'm pleased with this snowblower and, as long as you needs are moderate, I think you will be also. There is one thing of critical importance. This snowblower comes in two models; auger-driven and not auger-driven. With the auger-driven model, which is what I have, the auger drives the snowblower forward so you don't have to push it. When you lift up on the handles a little bit, the auger contacts the ground and pulls the snowplower forward as it throws the snow. That makes it a lot easier. With the non-auger-driven model, you have to push the snowblower forward yourself. That's a lot more work, especially if you have a bad back. I would only buy the auger driven one. A few more things. There is a handle with which you control the direction the chute throws the snow and the distance. It works well. Also, there is a light so you can work in the dark, and there are heated hand grips. Finally, this snowblower is light and folds up so that it fits into a small space. In my opinion, this is a very well design machine. ... show more

  • Impressive power for its size, even in wet snow
Style: w/Heated Handles (No Battery/Charger)
I recently picked up this EGO Power+ 21" blower, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed by how powerful it is given its lightweight size. I have used it to clear about 5 to 6 inches of accumulation, ranging from light dry powder to heavy wet slush, and it clears it all without hesitation. It is definitely a capable machine for moderate snowfalls. Feature-wise, the battery life has been excellent; it provides ample runtime to clear my entire driveway on a single charge without needing to stop. I use two 4ah EGO batteries. I also found the heated handles to be incredibly useful. I didn't think much of them at first, but they make a significant difference when you are out in the freezing cold for an extended period. The only real trade-off to consider is that, because it is a single-stage blower, it isn't self-propelled. You do have to use some force to push it, unlike larger two-stage gas blowers that pull themselves along. However, if you don't mind putting in a little physical effort, the performance and convenience of this electric unit make it a solid choice. ... show more

  • Great snow blower.
Style: w/Steel Auger (No Battery/Charger)
I ordered this model a week before our this year's first snowstorm. I also ordered a 2nd battery even though I already had a Ego Power 56v battery from my lawnmower. It was easy to set up and get running. Works great!

  • Good machine. Thanks ego.
Style: w/Heated Handles (No Battery/Charger)
Good battery life, on the first gear. You really don't need more power but you got it there.😊👍 it's not so heavy and not that big, so it's perfect for a household. It's not that hard to push, plus you get some exercises so look at it on the bright side. The only downside is the bolts... They are already rust it... So I'm going to see with the warranty when they start to break. I only had it for a season. ... show more

  • Used it once so far, Did terrible in 3 inches of snow. Will give it one more try before returning.
Style: w/Heated Handles (No Battery/Charger)
Used it once so far, Did terrible in just 3 inches of snow. Will give it one more snowfall before back it goes. ItT just bunches snow up when you push it forward. Nothing really makes it to the auger *and yes,, the auger is turning). Maybee it needs deeper snow to work properly. The front skids get stuck on anything but ice anything like concrete, asphalt and brick paver - HOW the heck it that supposed to work? Maybe if it had a small front wheel-set so it wouldn't drag on everything under the snow. So far , had not lived up to the description given. next snowfall is in a few days will try again <sigh>. Heated grips don't get that warm either. 12/24/24: Tried it again this morning on 2 inches of snow - it was a horrible experience. Hardly anything is coming out of the chute and the blades arew definately spinning. Sad. Sending it back. ... show more
