Excellent battery powered chain saw!
Style: 16" Chain Saw Kit w/4.0Ah Battery
Great chain saw! Cuts very nicely! Plenty of power. My first time with a battery powered chain saw and I find it much more convenient. The battery can be a little heavy but not too heavy. Just a well-built device.

EGO 16 inch chainsaw
Style: 16" Chain Saw Kit w/4.0Ah Battery
My EGO 16 inch model CS1613 is wonderful. I have a Stihl 16 inch gasoline chainsaw and it works wonderfully too. The EGO electric I use for trees and limbs up to one foot diameter. The EGO is lighter and much easier to use and adjust without tools. It is powerful but NOT as powerful as my Stihl gasoline 16 inch chainsaw. The battery lasts much longer than I guessed. In addition the battery charges quickly as well. The one problem I noticed was working in and around vines. The vines strip the chain off the bar frequently, 4 times in 3 hours of use. The positive is that it is easy to remove the coverplate and bar and put the chain back on. I would definitely buy the EGO chainsaw again !

Unbelievable
Style: 16" Chain Saw Kit w/4.0Ah Battery
This saw is unbelievable, I should have bought it years ago. It is simple to start. Once again simple to start. I bought it out of frustration with a gas powered saw that is very cranky, it is a brand name saw. The Ego Power started easily and cut a 16 inch and 12 inch tree into manageable pieces. I also cut the 4 foot remainder of a tree that is ~2 feet in diameter. The saw cut the trees easily. The saw is very quiet and easy to use. Glad I finally made the purchase.

This saw cuts like a beaver
Style: 16" Chain Saw Kit w/4.0Ah Battery
I really had severe doubts about ANY battery chainsaw. Up until now, I have only used gas, because they get the job done. I decided to try a battery saw, and I already have an EGO blower, so I waited for the chainsaw to go on sale and bought it. All I did was add the bar oil, and reluctantly approached a tree that was in need of coming down. The only word I can use to describe this saw is, unbelievable. This saw is a beaver. It has more power and cuts better than any gas saw I have ever used. After a few large cuts, I did have to tension the chain, which is a breeze. I cut two fairly large trees completely to the ground and bucked the limbs, and the battery was still showing 2 steps to go until empty. My neighbor came over to see the saw in action, and asked to use it. I gave it to him and he trimmed a few branches and the battery life still had not changed. I absolutely LOVE this saw. Not one complaint. The power is unreal and the oiler works great.

Great saw but 4 amp battery makes it somewhat unbalanced
Style: 16" Chain Saw Kit w/4.0Ah Battery
Great chainsaw with plenty of power - so much better than gas saws when doing yard work when you have to stop/start the saw numerous times - much easier than any gas saw where it can take a few pulls to start it - in short, a great saw but... the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the 4.0 amp battery is heavy and makes the saw slightly unbalanced with excess weight on left side - if only doing minor yard work, think about the 2.4 amp battery as that should not affect the balance of the saw as much - the weight is not a problem - just the balance

EGO Power+ Chainsaw: Lumberjack Wannabe's Dream (and My Neighbor's Worst Nightmare)
Style: 16" Chain Saw Kit w/4.0Ah Battery
Oh, dear fellow Amazonians, gather 'round for a tale of epic proportions! Allow me to regale you with the mesmerizing adventures I've had with the EGO Power+ CS1613 Chainsaw, the gateway to unleashing your inner lumberjack and causing your neighbors to question their life choices. Picture this: a mild-mannered suburbanite, clad in flannel and armed with a 16-inch chainsaw, ready to tackle the untamed wilderness of his backyard. With a powerful 56-volt lithium-ion battery and a 4.0Ah capacity, this chainsaw boasts enough might to make even Paul Bunyan tremble with jealousy. I fired up the EGO Power+ Chainsaw with the enthusiasm of a toddler on Christmas morning, eager to fell trees and create the majestic piles of firewood that would make me the neighborhood's undisputed arboreal king. And let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. The first slice through a fallen branch was like poetry in motion. The chainsaw effortlessly cut through the wood, singing a glorious tune of power and victory. I was drunk on the adrenaline of my newfound lumberjack prowess, imagining myself as the undisputed champion of chainsaw-wielding suburbanites. But here's where the fun truly began: my unsuspecting neighbors. The mere sight of me, wildly wielding a chainsaw with an ear-to-ear grin, sent them into a frenzy of disbelief. Their faces were a mixture of terror, curiosity, and a hint of secondhand embarrassment. I became the eccentric neighbor, the enigma that left them questioning whether they should call the local authorities or a circus. The EGO Power+ Chainsaw gave me more than just lumber-cutting abilities. It granted me a front-row seat to the drama unfolding around me. I could see the gossip spreading through the neighborhood like wildfire, with whispered conversations about the "chainsaw guy" and his mysterious forest-clearing escapades. Now, let's address the practicality of this mighty machine. The 4.0Ah battery provided ample power for my suburban lumberjack needs, allowing me to trim trees and take down unruly shrubs without breaking a sweat. The cordless design made me feel like a woodland nomad, roaming freely without being tethered to an outlet. But a word of caution, my adventurous friends: with great power comes great responsibility. The EGO Power+ Chainsaw is not a toy, and it demands respect. Use it wisely, and please, for the love of all things green, don't attempt any circus acts or recreate scenes from horror movies. Safety first, folks! In conclusion, the EGO Power+ CS1613 Chainsaw is a force to be reckoned with. It's the key to unlocking your inner lumberjack and creating chaos in the minds of your neighbors. So, if you're ready to make a statement and leave an everlasting mark on your suburban landscape, grab this chainsaw and let the wild, quirky adventure begin!

Powerful little thing
Style: 16" Chain Saw Kit w/4.0Ah Battery
So we had a gas powered stihl chainsaw that we have been using to break down a very large tree for almost 2 years now. The gas one constantly was breaking or would stop half way thru a cut and was in the shop more than it wasn't. I could also never start it and always had to have my significant other do it which annoyed the heck out of me cause I hate depending on others. Last time we took it in it had so many issues it was going to cost more to fix than replace. I ordered the 16" ego on prime day after reading the reviews assuming I could easily handle myself. I'm in general pretty handy and good with power tools. This thing cut up a huge portion of the tree (2.5 very large cart fulls) in <1 hr on one battery. We have this tree nearly completely done at this point in 2 hours that we had been trying to remove for 2 years. Hubby was pretty mad because he's always said a battery powered chain saw wouldn't work for our property and this chainsaw proved him wrong. We have ~1.5 acres and very large branches are constantly falling. Cut some very large branches wider than the 16" chain without an issue. Quiet, fast, east to use. It's only day one but I highly recommend. It does not come with chain oil so make sure you order at the same time. I also bought a speed charger for the battery which is charging super quick. I'm happy, hubby isn't, mostly cause he hates when I'm right tho lol we will see how it holds up but very happy so far.
