This chain saw is awesome! It works really well. I was able to cut so much of my tree in my front yard one one battery. The battery lasted the whole time and I had 30 piles. I had a friend who has a bucket lift on his truck come and cut a large amount of my tree. He asked me to borrow the chainsaw so he can use it to cut down a tree in his yard he was so impressed. After reading other positive reviews about the performance, I bought the EGO chain saw as an addition to my other EGO tools. The chain saw is very easy to manage as the teeth only starts moving when the Lock Off button and the trigger switch are activated. I have not had to use the chain saw until the battery is drained but with all the other EGO batteries I have, draining the battery is not a concern. The noise the chainsaw makes is a lot quieter than a gas powered chain saw, which I am sure my neighbors appreciate. The advantages of the EGO chain saw are no engine maintenance requirements other than sharpening the teeth and refilling the lubrication oil tank, the ability to operate the chain saw without getting frustrated with the pull cord not starting the chain saw, and it uses any of the EGO batteries. ... show more

Already had some E-Go told and we're impressed so I bought this thinking it would be good for trimming small stuff. Well, this thing rips through big stuff with no problem! Battery life is surprisingly good, 30 min cutting through 8"-12" with no problem. Still had plenty of battery. As long as you have another battery I'm sure this thing would meet 90% of chain saw needs. Plenty of torque and power. I've got a Stihl and haven't touched it since getting this. Easy to adjust the chain, full with oil and week balanced. Chain comes sharp and has stayed sharp. Highly recommend and would buy again. Actually bought the pole saw too! ... show more
