I've been looking for a better way to handle the daily floor cleaning in our large home, and the X12 Omnicyclone is an absolute powerhouse. Coming from the older Deebot X1, I can't even begin to tell you how big and great of an upgrade this is! The difference is night and day. Everything that used to be a minor annoyance with the older model like how noisy it is that has me turning up the tv volume all the time, has been completely solved with this new setup. The sheer power of this machine is unbelievable. The 22,000Pa suction pairs with incredible airflow, so it picks up every single crumb, dust bunny, and piece of debris on both our hard floors and carpets, especially with four kids running around. A huge win for me is the ZeroTangle brush. With the X1, I felt like I was constantly cutting hair out of the roller, but this new design guides everything straight into the vacuum path with almost zero brush wrap. It saves me so much hands-on cleanup time. The mopping system is where this truly leaves the older generation in the dust. Instead of just dragging a damp pad across the floor, the roller mop actually refreshes itself with clean water as it goes, so it never smears dirt around. The FocusJet pre-spray is amazing for dried-on kitchen messes or sticky spills because it loosens everything up before scrubbing. I also love the auto-shield feature for my bedroom carpets because it lifts the roller and completely covers it so there is absolutely zero risk of cross-contamination or wet carpets when it transitions off the hardwood. The bagless station is another massive upgrade because I don't have to keep buying disposable dust bags, and the fast charging means it covers our entire house with way less downtime. The AI navigation is incredibly smart and easily dodges stray toys or cables left on the floor, and setting up schedules in the app takes almost zero effort. This is a solid 5-star purchase. It is powerful, efficient and safe for all floor types (I have carpet, tile, hardwood) making it the ultimate tool for a busy household. After using several robot vacuums over the years, this is the first one that truly feels like a hands-off cleaning solution rather than a gadget that still requires constant maintenance. What immediately impressed me was the incredible 22,000Pa BLAST suction power. Whether it’s pet hair, dust, dirt, or debris buried deep in carpets, the X12 picks it up with ease. The ZeroTangle technology actually works, which means I no longer spend time cutting hair off brushes every week. For homes with pets, this feature alone is worth its weight in gold. The standout feature is the FocusJet Pre-Spray system. Instead of simply dragging a damp mop over dried spills, the X12 identifies stubborn messes and pre-treats them before scrubbing them away. One thing that immediately stood out to me when I started using the X12 was its suction power—it is significantly stronger than any other model I’ve used in the past. The 22,000 Pa suction rating is quite impressive; since my previous robot vacuums had much lower suction capabilities, upgrading to the X12 was a change I truly appreciated. With my previous robots, I frequently encountered issues such as difficult setup processes—I often had to spend a frustrating amount of time tinkering just to get them to follow my desired cleaning path. Furthermore, the mopping function would leave the floor excessively wet, creating damp spots that took a considerable amount of time to dry completely. They also struggled to navigate through the house, frequently getting stuck in corners, and were virtually ineffective at removing stubborn stains. All of these issues were completely resolved once I decided to purchase the X12. This was a decision I weighed carefully for a long time, as the X12 is by no means inexpensive—though I did manage to snag a slightly better deal by purchasing it during a promotional period. Now that I’ve bought and used it, I feel it was well worth the investment, largely due to its suction power. The suction is even stronger than I had anticipated. During the mopping cycle, the device utilizes a system that sprays water directly onto stubborn stains; this feature successfully cleaned up old, set-in stains that had been on my floor for some time. For particularly tough spots, I simply set the robot to perform multiple passes, and they were effectively removed. The X12 also does an excellent job of vacuuming up dust and sweeping up hair. It operates for much longer durations than my previous robots—lasting significantly longer than the typical one or two hours I was used to—making it ideal for cleaning large floor areas. Despite its powerful suction, the unit operates quite quietly. It doesn't produce any unpleasant noise, so I often set it to run in the evenings when no one is actively moving around the house to handle the cleaning chores. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with it.

Update: I returned the unit. The very last scheduled run took over 8 hours to clean my small house. It kept going back to the base to charge because the battery drains quickly. To top it off, it decided to start mopping at some point even though I had the mopping option turned off. Original post: So far this is pretty bad for having so many great reviews. Maybe I have a dud. I was hopeful with how quickly it mapped my house that this was going to be an excellent buy, but the vacuuming part is awful. It doesn’t clean in the usual straight line pattern where it outlines the room first and then fills in till the whole room is done. The pattern is random so it misses big sections and doesn’t go near the walls. I’ve had 2 Deebots before this and they were not as high tech but did an awesome job at vacuuming. The mopping was basic with a disposable mop pad and it dragged across the floor. So when my last one crapped out after nearly 3 years of use every single day, I thought I’d splurge on the top of the line newest model. My old deebot took 2 hours to clean my entire 1900 sq ft home. This thing is so advanced it confuses itself. It spins around the middle of the room not knowing where to begin vacuuming. It clicks on and off and darts from one end of the room to the other without vacuuming very haphazardly and took 4 hours to do about 850 sq ft. Are you kidding me?! At the very least, it should be able to clean every inch of my open areas in a straight line pattern and it doesn’t even do that. See attached screenshot of the section of my house it cleaned and the cleaning logs. 4 freaking hours? Nope, not efficient. I can’t even imagine if I turned the mopping on. I’m going to continue to use it for a few more days to see if it “learns” my floor plan, but if it’s not any better, I’m returning it. Glad I got it on sale rather than paying the full price. I’ll update this post in case it gets better.

I have two Roombas, and they are probably both 10+ years old. But after a bunch of knocked over furniture and even a broken glass mirror on my floor, I figured it was time to get a new one. I did my research and decided to get basically what I call the final boss of all robot vacuums, the “Death Star” as I named it. I wanted the best features and most advanced technology, and it basically led me to the Deebot X12. Right off the bat I noticed a huge difference in cleaning power. The mop + vacuum feature is amazing! Like, I don’t need to buy any more Wet Swiffers! I set the water level to low and it didn’t leave any streaks or residue in mop mode. It’s also super smart. I have mostly wood flooring, but for the few carpets I have, the AI detects them, stops mopping, and switches to vacuum mode. So cool! Speaking of AI, the pathing and navigation are very smart. It doesn’t bump into furniture or get stuck under couches, and it always returns back to the base station. This is a very welcome change from my old Roombas. The app is pretty cool as well! It maps out my house, and then I have the ability to set boundaries, divide up rooms, and choose specific areas I want it to clean. Like after cooking, I can tell it to just mop the kitchen area, and then it goes back to the station for self-cleaning. Speaking of that, when it was cleaning my kitchen, the AI noticed a stain and used the stain cleaning spray to remove it! Reminds me of the Death Star shooting lasers at debris to get past it. So cool! I live in a two-story house, so it was able to map out both floors. It can’t go up the stairs by itself, so I have to manually bring it upstairs. Speaking of the app, one cool feature is the built-in camera. It lets me control it like a robot while I’m at work and check on my dogs. Another feature that I found super fun and useful. Definitely a great purchase so far. Everything is working as it should. Been using it 2–3 times a day without issues.

When it comes to pure operational uptime, the Ecovacs X12 Omni is the undisputed king of my vacuum fleet. Where my Yeedi M12 Pro Gen2, M12 Max Plus, or C12 Combo might stall out and require a rescue mission, the X12 keeps its wheels moving without getting trapped 90% more often than the rest. On top of that, it fixes the main headache of the M12 line by ditching disposable station bags for a reusable cyclonic bin, giving you the premium performance of a flagship with the budget-friendly layout of the C12 Combo. The trade-off is simply knowing its specific triggers. It is a fantastic "set-and-forget" workhorse that rarely gets stuck, but you still have to clear out the cat toys, protect the cat's feeding station, and manually handle live coffee spills since its AI mapping won't adapt to them in real time. Something additionally i forgot to include in this review, it has MATTER support, which makes a difference, for still being able to use its local onboard AI and handle cleaning, although you cannot as easily instruct it with the companion app, as that needs to plug into the network. Another issue is to use the security cam feature function, you need to have the bot paired to and logged into the ecovacs network. Be great if they fixed that with the app not working with out being logged in, so we can have all the functionality of matter, both with full app capabilities, alongside full onboard camera utilization. When this feature gets phased out, owners of these cleaning bots, will lose alot of these big bell n whistles features. Pros: • Elite "Anti-Stuck" Reliability: The absolute biggest win here. It avoids getting physically trapped or throwing "stuck" errors 9 out of 10 times compared to the other robots in your fleet. It's the one machine you can actually trust to finish a job unattended. • Bagless Innovation: The PureCyclone 2.0 station brings back a completely bagless, multi-stage cyclonic design, perfectly matching the zero-recurring-cost convenience of your Yeedi C12 Combo. • Excellent Routine Tracking: When covering standard open layouts, it moves predictably and delivers deep hard-floor scrubbing via the continuous self-washing OZMO Roller 3.0 system. Cons: • Frustrating Localized Blind Spots: While it excels at overall mobility, its AI object avoidance still has weird gaps a simple stray cat toy can derail it, and it can still get caught on low-profile obstacles like the metal support bars of a coffee table. • Clueless with Live Spills: Completely fails to register active, real-time liquid messes (like a fresh coffee spill) as something it needs to clean up or avoid in the moment. • Zone Boundary Issues: Can occasionally struggle transitioning onto specific rug/carpet edges and tends to aggressively plow into or tear up your cat's food mat instead of steering clear. • Solution-Bay Issues: After between 5-9x runs, it alerts me to the water reservoir being critically low or gone. This is not remotely the case, my water is still half full and yet, it still thinks nothing of it, same with the cleaning solutions and dirty tank as well.

This robovac is super good for getting dirt and footprints off of my hardwood floors, and especially the edges where my walls connect to my floor. I love how easy it was to set up and configure, and really appreciate that I can have it map multiple floors of my home so it knows my furniture layout. The suction force and quality is better than the one I had previously from years ago and so this one adds that extra fresh cleanliness to my home. Usually, I am able to start the mopping from the app before I even get home from work so that I return to fresh floors and clean wood every day! I really appreciate the front light on the mop which alerts me when it is under my chairs or behind my couch, and the amount of sound it makes is not as loud as previous alternatives that I have tried. It fits really well and is able to get into tight fits and over room dividers easily and without flipping over! I like that I can set boundaries in the app also so that it does not fall down stairs and stays balanced even on edges overlooking them. This was easily my best investment of this whole year, it has been adding a freshness and clean charm to my whole home every day! The price is definitely worth the amount of features and the quality.

I gave this a low number of stars to attract attention. No one reads the positive reviews. Overall, I'd give it a 4. Reduced capacities, harder to replenish, lower run times, and a poorly arranged app are my negatives. We had the Deebot X8 Pro and liked it, so bought the X12 when it was available. Likes - fast, accurate mapping; wider brush has better overlap than X8 which left streaks, cleans at night with headlight. Charging is fast. They honored their price match guaranty without any pushback. Refunded Amazon day price reduction. Dislikes - smaller clean and dirty water tanks. They reduced overall size of base and added second cleaning solution tank, so reduced size of the two water tanks. Forces more frequent maintenance of water tanks. With the X8, you could fill the clean water tank without removing from base. Just open lid. With X12 you have to fully remove from base, sit it on flat surface, open and fill. Smaller tanks on robot necessitates many trips back to base to replenish/empty water, empty trash bin. Seems like a smaller capacity battery. App still needs a LOT of work. Not logically laid out. Many sub-menus within sub-menus, within menus. Also, they deleted some useful features like defining clean and no-go zones, minimal editing of maps.
