We have a 90-pound long coat German Shepherd and I feel like I am always vacuuming. I decided to give this robot vacuum a try. (it is my first robot anything) I have to be honest; I let my tech savvy kids set up the cleaning zones with the smart mapping and so far, so good. The zero-tangle technology does a great job preventing dog hair from wrapping in the brush. The bagless self-emptying station is great, and I empty the container just like my normal vacuum. For me, I empty the container every few days because of dog hair but that’s not an issue. I do move our bar stools so the robot can really grab the dog hair, the stool legs aren't wide enough for the vacuum to fit through. The suction is really good, and I don't see debris on the floor after the robot goes through. I have a steam mop, so I really don’t use the mopping capability of the Deebot vacuum. I have so much tile and hardwood that it is easier to steam mop. The vacuum does help me prep the floors, so I am excited about that! I am happy with my first robot vacuum and so are my kids, they get out of vacuuming!

Overall, the ECOVACS DEEBOT N20e Plus offers an impressive combination of cleaning performance, convenience, and features for the price. The 10,000Pa suction is one of its biggest strengths and does a very good job picking up everyday dirt, crumbs, dust, and pet hair from both hard floors and carpet. The mapping and navigation also work well. Initial setup is relatively straightforward, and once the house is mapped, the app gives you plenty of control over where and when the DEEBOT cleans. Carpet detection and increased suction on carpet are particularly useful, and the long battery life allows it to cover a substantial amount of space before needing to recharge. One of my favorite features is the bagless self-emptying station. The robot returns to the dock and empties its onboard dustbin automatically, but unlike many competing self-emptying systems, there are no disposable bags to continually purchase. That's both convenient and a nice savings over the life of the vacuum. The ZeroTangle brush system is another welcome feature, particularly in a home with pets or anyone with longer hair. You'll still want to periodically inspect and clean the brush like any robot vacuum, but it does a good job minimizing the amount of hair that becomes tightly wrapped around the roller. There are a couple of compromises to be aware of. The mopping function is useful for routine maintenance and removing light surface dirt, but it's a fairly basic system. The pad essentially travels across the floor rather than actively scrubbing, so I wouldn't purchase this expecting it to replace a dedicated floor mop for tougher stains. The other limitation is obstacle avoidance. The LiDAR does a good job navigating and mapping rooms, but this isn't one of the more expensive robots that can intelligently recognize and maneuver around every cord, sock, or small object left on the floor. It's best to do a quick check for those items before sending it out to clean. Those limitations are easier to accept when considering what the N20e Plus does particularly well. It's a strong robot vacuum first and a convenient light-duty mop second. The combination of powerful suction, good mapping, long runtime, pet-hair performance, app control, and a bagless self-emptying station provides a lot of functionality without moving into the price range of the more elaborate robotic cleaning systems. Overall, I'm very pleased with the N20e Plus. If your priority is keeping floors consistently vacuumed with minimal daily effort and you consider the mopping feature a useful bonus rather than the main attraction, this is a very capable machine and a good value for the money.

Ecovacs so far is my favorite out of the big three (Ecovacs - Eufy - Shark). All have they own super capability, and drawbacks. Ecovacs become a favorite to me. They have budget friendly options doing superior job. I favor this for not needing a vacuum bag - it does a really good job with vacuuming. I find it a bit noisy compared to others. On the other hand - it does not do a good job with mopping. So if you have a high shine hardwood floor, this little guy will leave marks and lines. The AI is a bit glitchy, maping the house required supervison and constant help, it can be boice commanded true Alexa. The obsticle recognation is ok. Sometimes it will ignore the virtual boundary I set up around my dogs water bowls - also a bit tedious to set it up exactly where you want it. The app is easy to use, clean interface , connect with ease.

Really happy with this vacuum so far. It does a great job picking up everyday dirt and pet hair, and the bagless self-emptying feature is nice since there aren’t replacement bags to keep buying. The Ecovacs app is honestly one of the better apps out there for these vacuums. It’s easy to navigate, set schedules, and adjust settings without everything being overly complicated. The vacuum feels sturdy but isn’t too heavy to pick up and move when needed. I still have to do some cleaning myself, but this definitley makes keeping up with the floors a lot easier.

Over the past year, our family has officially stepped into the Jetsons era. It started with two ECOVACS robotic lawn mowers — and let me tell you, mowing in 105‑degree South Carolina heat is no joke. Those robots didn’t just cut grass; they gave me back hours of my life. Once we realized how much time “robots” could free up, the next logical step was tackling one of my wife’s most mundane chores: vacuuming and mopping. Our first indoor recruit was the ECOVACS T30e, an impressive machine that showed us just how much work a robot could take off our plate. But as good as the T30e is, it only whet our appetite for what the next level could do. Enter the ECOVACS DEEBOT X12 OMNICYCLONE — the flagship of the ECOVACS lineup. This thing is leap years ahead of the T30e. The X12 brought us: FocusJet Pre‑Spray, a truly advanced mopping system, 22,000Pa blast suction, a bagless station, obstacle avoidance and mapping that feels borderline magical We keep the X12 downstairs, where its strengths shine: larger square footage, mixed flooring, and a complex layout. The T30e moved upstairs, where the space is smaller and the floors are simpler. Recently, we converted the largest upstairs room into a suite for my disabled mother‑in‑law. It’s fully carpeted, with only two living areas, and due to safety concerns, we keep the doors closed to prevent pets and foot traffic. That’s where the T30e started struggling — it needs open access to maintain its map. While researching options, I came across the budget‑friendly ECOVACS DEEBOT N20e, and everything about it pointed to the perfect solution for this specific room. Initially, we did have trouble connecting to our network (not sure why as others had no trouble connecting), but after I got a signal booster, it connected with no problem. The N20e offers: 10,000Pa suction (more than enough for carpet), a dustbin similar to the X12 (low maintenance, no bags to buy), increased battery life (which is ideal for a room that needs just a periodic vacuuming), simple operation for someone who isn’t tech‑savvy, basic obstacle avoidance (which is fine because her room stays clear for safety), and since the room is fully carpeted, the N20e’s sub‑par mopping performance is irrelevant. In short, the N20e is a very capable machine when deployed in the right environment. I wouldn’t recommend it for a large, complex floor plan or a home that needs serious mopping. But for a smaller, simple layout with few obstacles — especially on a budget — the N20e is an excellent choice and a good value.

I’ve been really impressed with the ECOVACS DEEBOT N20e Plus. The 10,000Pa suction does a great job picking up dirt, dust, crumbs, and especially pet hair from both my hard floors and carpets. The ZeroTangle feature is also helpful because I’m not constantly having to pull hair out of the brush. The smart mapping works well and makes it easy to have the vacuum clean specific areas instead of just running randomly around the house. I also really like the bagless station, since I don’t have to keep buying replacement dust bags. Battery life has been excellent, and it can run for a long time before needing to recharge. Setup was straightforward, and the Alexa compatibility is a nice bonus for hands-free control. Overall, this is a capable robot vacuum with strong suction, good navigation, and a convenient low-maintenance station. It has made keeping the floors clean much easier.

We already own two ECOVACS vacuum/mopping Robots and absolutely love them. Our T30e is on the lower end price-wise but does a really nice job. Our other Robot is the ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 PRO. The T90 is what I consider top-of-the-line. It does an amazing job mapping, mopping and vacuuming. The ECOVACS DEEBOT N20e Plus Robot Vacuum and Mop, 10000Pa Suction, which is what this review is covering, is a disappointment. We ordered the N20e because it is bagless. Not having to purchase replacement bags each month is this vacuums only real advantage. Mapping with the N20e, compared to our other two robots was not fun. The other two robots mapped our rooms without any human intervention. This N20e required constant supervision and correction. It kept climbing up furniture bases and then would get stuck. Once mapped, the vacuum performed well. Its suction was adequate and it discerned the difference between hard surface and carpet. The N20e also was able to climb over room transitions without a problem. That ability may also be why it had such a difficult time mapping. Unlike our other two robots the N20e does not avoid things like the base of a floor fan. Rather than go around, it would climb up the base and get hung up. This also happened with floor lamps. To avoid those obstacles, the app provides a "no go" option, but it is a pain to accurately set up. However, if you have high room transitions, this Robot may be your answer. The mopping feature is a total disappointment. It is basically a wet rag that it drags across the floor. Once dried, I could see marks, where the rag had been dragged. Our other two ECOVACS Robots actually scrubs the floors, clean the pads when dirty and then return to the mopping task. If you only need a Robot vacuum, the N20e will do the job and will save you money, since the initial purchase cost is comparatively low and you do not have to purchase replacement bags. But, if you also want a Robot that does a good job mopping, avoid this one. Its mopping feature is inadequate. Overall, I do not feel this is a good value for the money.

I've been using this Ecovacs N20e Plus for a few weeks now, and honestly, the bagless auto-empty station is a game changer. The 10,000Pa suction picks up dirt and pet hair well, and the ZeroTangle 2.0 brush does a decent job keeping hair from wrapping around the roller . The LiDAR mapping is fast and accurate, and the app makes it easy to set no-go zones . That said, the mop is pretty basic—it just drags a wet pad and can't lift it on carpets . I found myself skipping the mop and just using it for vacuuming, where it really shines . It can climb thresholds up to 20mm, but I still had to pick up small objects and cables to prevent it from getting stuck.
