Works good for the price point. I have it about 5 feet away mounted on a joist pointed straight down. On level 2 it feels like I'm in the sunlight. Which is extremely nice actually. *How to remove the tilt turn off* Take the 4 long screws out of the end of the unit where the power button is. Then use a flat head screwdriver to pop off the grey cover, shown in pictures. *I took mine COMPLETELY apart in the pictures for a better view. And to figure out where the tip sensor was. I could hear it, but at first the grey box looked like a capacitor or a potted resistor. So I tore it all apart to be sure I was messing with the right bit.* There is a 2 piece clam shell that houses a super small steel ball. That blocks light to 2 light sensitive resistors. When the ball isn't blocking the hole the unit won't power on. When the light is blocked the unit powers on. I removed the ball and put black electrical tape on the inside to permanently block light. You don't have the anti tilt safety anymore. But you can mount it upside down on the ceiling or at any angle now. Do this at your own risk. I'm not responsible. I think it is really dumb though that they show it mounted on a ceiling in the product photos, but you cant do that out of the box. That is the main reason I bought it. To mount it like that. I knew from reading reviews though that you couldn't out of the box. But I figured on something this cheap and massively produced that the mechanism for detecting tilt angle couldn't be too complicated. Luckily it isn't and you can Jerry rig it to work all the time.

The heater works I just wish it was stronger enough to cover a larger area. Works well if your within 2 to 3 feet of it. I think with two or maybe 3 units would really heat the area I am trying to heat. Using it on my outdoor patio

Heater works as expected. installation was not that hard. I couldn't install it to the ceiling. Although description says it can be installed to the ceiling. Ended up installing to the sides of our Gazebo. I installed two of these and one remote works for both. the other one can be used as a replacement.

I took a star off because it was a little confusing to put together. Other than that it gets good and warm very quickly. It is very bright on the high setting but does the job.

The tripod doesnโt spread out wide enough that itโs easy to tip over if someone accidentally bump into it even slightly. The heat is great.

Light up your world! These things are bright. Although I returned the units I purchased due to them being so bright they did put out the heat. I originally wanted to use them by my gas firepit outside but they are so bright that they interfered with the ambiance of the fire. They lit up the entire deck. Settled on the carbon model which are not so bright.
