Very nice little saw. Came well tuned. My dad had a homelite super 2 that I grew up on. Those were fantastic saws and I’ve always wanted one similar. Dad also had a 1st gen Stihl farm boss and I have a 271. It’s too heavy to lug around to buck trees and brush anymore so, I was in the market for a light top handle for small stuff and the Echo 355t 14” fit the bill. Half the cost of a Stihl and much less than husky top handles. I cut up a cord of 40’ bull pines for the fire pit. It’s great at limbing and felling small trees. Cutting up logs is a breeze as the little thing is good on torqe. The safety chain is Oregon made and does just fine through pine and poplar. I did do a bit of birch and cherry too and it didn’t struggle through 8” of either one. Hold it properly and watch for kick back, especially if you upgrade your chain to a more aggressive tooth. Fabulous saw.

This little saw is a go getter! The other day my big saw wouldn't start. I had to use this for bucking an 18" oak! Chewed it up using a full chisel chain! Plenty of power and easy to maneuver when limbing. Starts every time.

Way better than the homelite Super XL2 that I had. It is light and has way more power cuts faster. Very pleased. Starts within 3 pulls when cold. it was 25 degrees the other day and started on the third pull. I have 5 or so hours of operation on it and many more to come. I will certainly consider echo for future chainsaw purchases.

Delivered today and used it today. I went with the 14 inch bar and it did everything I needed it to do. The pro's: Plenty of power and excellent balance. I really like the choke switch incorporated with the stop switch and starting this saw is very easy once you get the carb adjusted for where you live. The multiple size grip features on the handle are excellent and makes gripping the saw solid. The clutch driven oiler is great and adjusts nicely. The oil only comes out when the chain is spinning. The chain brake hand guard is solid and the plastic the saws casing is thick and seems very durable. The throttle response is unbelievably good. Well balanced and cuts clean. Cuts even better once you make the chain more aggresive when you sharpen it. The cons: The lanyard ring broke the first time I opened it and is now stuck open. This saw is a bit loud compared to other top handles in its class. The top handle feels great but is too wide to fit into the hook on my saddle without major struggle and getting it out of the hook is near impossible when in the tree. That said with a biner and chainsaw lanyard that issue can be fixed. The saw performs so good especially for the price none of the cons would matter and I would rate this saw at 5 stars EXCEPT for... (And this is absolutely a horrible design feature) the stupid gas and oil filling ports are way too small!!! Every single time you have to put fuel or bar oil in it you will spill it all over the place. You will either miss or over fill it. I use a small funnel but still over fill 1 out of 3 times because you cant see the fluid level until its topped out. This 1 feature by itself almost made this a 3 star rating. I honestly do love this saw though and highly suggest you buy it over any other saw in its price range and would buy it again if it was the same price as the stihl or husky saws. All in all this is a great saw for use in the tree and for the price the best in its class. There are youtube videos showing this saw going against other top handles twice the price and as far as cutting I cant see a difference. Plus its an echo and every echo product I have has been way, way more reliable than any of the other brands I own including stihl and husqvarna.

If you want a chainsaw that will start every time without hassle, this is the perfect choice. It is a professional grade saw so it must be treated with care but with a low kickback chain it is very easy to use. For the seasoned professional it is a perfect saw for any job. I have felled large trees and done small brush work with it. Reasonable weight compared to power and the handle is shaped well. Great value for the price. Two notes for those considering this saw. 1. The gas and oil caps are small so they must be filled carefully 2. If you want the absolute best performance, lean out the carburetor a bit. I tuned my high speed screw an 1/8 of a turn and had a lot more power
