    • My new favorite art book!

I recently became a fan of Junji Ito and when I found out there was a book showcasing his artwork, I immediately began searching for it. I was initially going to buy it on Hot Topic, but it sold out, and I was lucky enough to find it here on Amazon. It's definitely a larger sized book with thick pages, the artwork is stunning, and there's an interview with Ito himself towards the end of the book. I know someone posted a previous review that some pages seemed washed out, but I didn't see that issue. Certain pages actually have a special silvery finish to them that replaces the normal page color from the manga, and maybe that's why the black in doesn't stand out as much. It doesn't detract from the artwork at all, in my opinion. I highly recommend this book, it's definitely worth the price. ... show more

The same beautiful artwork from your favorite Junji Ito works, but even better. Only complaint is that the book is HUGE compared to all the actual story books, hard to display them together. This is more of a coffee table book. In hindsight I guess that should've been obvious but I didn't think about it. ... show more

This is a pretty solid collection of Ito's works that showcases his diversity as an artist. Everything from the beautiful to the disturbing. This is the 2nd art book I've purchased from VIZ media. The other was a Neon Genesis Evangelion art book and both are well done and great quality. They do the artists justice. I'll definitely be checking out some other releases. As an artist this is a great addition to my reference library and full of inspiration towards my future projects. Highly recommended. ... show more

I bought this around Christmas as a gift, and I was blown away by the quality of the book! The art of Junji Ito is displayed in high quality prints throughout the book, and it shows a great amount of characters from his mangas! I definitely recommend if you love Junji Ito's stories and artstyle!

I love the collection of art in this book. As a huge fan of Ito, I always use this to show people that may be curious of what kind of stuff he has. I gave a couple out as gifts to my artist buddies and they loved it.
