Had another in-car scan tool that was getting sketchy, so I opted to get another unit and noticed this one. Ordered it, got it, aaand...worked just fine out of the box. Good parts - linked up with the ECM nicely, even has limited ability to run on-board diagnostics. Draws power directly from the OBD-II port, so no battery to worry about going "POOF". Has some graphing capability, so you're not always deciphering numbers on the fly. Not so good parts - The identifiers for the values can be somewhat cryptic (Downstream oxygen sensor on bank 1 is "O2B1S2") and DTC lookup...well, you're better off having something with an Internet connection available to decipher the codes. That said - for the price, and given the limitations imposed by the price constraints, it's not a particularly bad unit. Mine's living in the glove box for the time being.

For a point of reference, my car is a 2007 Toyota Corolla. This product has physical buttons a nice feature to have. These 4 physical buttons allow you to navigate the scanner with no problems. A nice feature would be this scanner relies on the car to power itself while connected to the car. As for scanner software itself, the feature to identify the car vin worked pretty well. As for the 02 sensors it was able to test them. As for the i/m readiness feature tested it gave one result. I have another scanner to test to compare; Receiving similar results to EasyAutoFix EAF1. The live data for the scanner compared to my other OBD2 scanner had the same reading. For example, the rpm reading was 843 while idle and my other OBD2 scanner had the same reading. One test I did was the mass air flow sensor this scanner gave a reading. the EasyAutoFix EAF1 provided a data reading of .4 and my other scanner gave the same result. The scanner functions for error codes. The OBD2 scanner worked as intended. All in all for a basic scanner it's pretty good for price. The only future issue I see if how to update the software for the future, but for the price works pretty well.

Hello guys I was able to test this car scanners on 3 vehicle and I gotta say it works pretty good accurate. I had a check engine light for my 2014 Nissan Altima and it was code p0101. I saw it was the mass air flow sensor. I was able to clean the sensor and give it a good cleaning and not need to replace it. I didn't even need to use the scanner to delete the code it went away on it own. My landlord work on cars all the time so I tested some of his cars he's working on and this scanner matched up with his. Really good buy for the price I recommend it.
