(Nov 09) finally received an email from customer support, it seems the zendesk support emails triggered spam filter and got blocked by our email service (phone line support does have some trouble, left a bunch of voice messages yet no response). Nevertheless, I am pleased to see these measures being taken and revising my review to 5 starts due to these measures. The product has worked well for the whole last year and is easy to assemble, we replaced it with the warranty part and now it works like new! ================== (Nov 08) received the replacement part, still dead silence from the customer support email but I guess I shouldn't expect more. Anyways the product worked well for a year so I revised my review to reflect that. ================== Still struggling to contact customer support to claim warranty, the experience so far has been quite stressful and frustrating. We purchased the heater about a year ago, and it has been working quite well last year. This year we tried to use it again, it worked for the first few weeks then gave out. The ignition would start the fire, but then it wouldn't sustain it. We thought it was out of propane but even with a full tank, the heater shows the same symptom. We then contacted customer support and were asked to upload a small video, but nothing happened since then, it has been several days we didn't hear a thing.

This patio heater arrived yesterday. I set aside time today to assemble it but I wasnโt expecting it to take over 2 hours. When everything is taken out of the box most of the heater is pre assembled. The part that is very annoying is removing the protective film that covers the upper โumbrellaโcomponents. It took me and my girlfriend an hour to remove the film. Certainly, some better way must exist to protect these items during shipping. The components seem sturdy and the hardware is good quality. A cheap wrench is included but it would be madding to have to use it. It is worthless. You will need common wrenches and a socket set (both metric) as well as a Phillips screwdriver and a ladder. Our previous heater had a door to exchange propane tanks. This heater doesnโt have a door. Instead, you must slide up the entire lower cabinet to remove /replace the tank. It is not easy nor convenient. It does look nice w/o a door but time will tell if we like this feature.

Update 9/8/23 - I had a factory defect with the regulator on my heater. Make sure you check it after install with soapy water to ensure there are no leaks. I ended up replacing it with a different model that has a slightly longer hose and braided cover rather than waiting for a warranty replacement. The manufacturer also contacted me about the wight kit and ensured me a new upgraded kit is being released and I've arranged for one to be shipped to me when it's available. Great customer support overall. Original Review: I really like the heater overall. I purchased the mushroom style in stainless, which looks good and should hopefully last many years. Heat output from it is amazing. I can feel it on my skin from 10 feet away and it's actually overbearing at less than 3 feet. Once winter arrives I should get a lot of use out of it both for keeping warm and keeping the ice at bay on my deck. However, it really needs a weight kit included. The model intended for this heater is out of stock with no estimated shipment dates, and the heater is not going to stay upright in fall and winter storms unless I surround it with sandbags and tie it to one of the deck posts when not in use. I'm not saying it's unstable, but that top reflector, even with a cover over it, is going to act like a sail and we get 30 MPH winds here regularly in storms. Not sure if there's anywhere that doesn't get at least 30 MPH winds occasionally. An included weight kit would at least reduce the amount of unsightly bags and tie downs I'll need to use during storms. As it is, I'll probably keep at least two sandbags bracketing it at all times due to inability to even purchase one.

The product was slightly difficult to put together. I had difficulty getting the protective film off several of the metal parts. It took be about 35 minutes just to do that. I also must be too strong, while peeling off the protective file I slightly bent some of the metal panels they were covering. It looks like a very light aluminum or something. It all went together in the end though. It produces enough heat for people around it. Overall Iโm not confident as far as the longevity of this device due to their pick of metals but it works as advertised. I feel that if I got one of the cheaper ones it would have been same or similar quality.

The heater itself works great and heats up a decent amount of space. The problem is that after the second time I used it the heat shield warped. Then when I added the heat reflector shield it really sags. The only reason I am giving this a 4 star instead of a 5 is because thicker metal could have been used to avoid this problem. Other than that it works great.

The shrink wrap over the hood pieces took over an hour to remove. I had to scrape the wrap from the crevices with a box cutter! Over kill on the shrink wrap! One of the inside supports bolt hole snapped off very easily from a poor spot weld.
