You will first notice the high quality when you open the box. Everything well packaged and labeled. The instructions are in a full-sized glossy booklet, large enough to read, not the typical tiny print on rough paper. I bought two and assembling the second was decidedly easier and faster than the first. The first took well over an hour and the second well under an hour. There is a YouTube video if you find that helps. Everything can be easily assembled with the tools included, a screwdriver and wrench, except that youโ€™ll need scissors or a sharp knife to open the packaging. An electric screwdriver would help but is not necessary. East Oakโ€™s customer support is exceptionally responsive and when I couldnโ€™t find one screw, they gladly supplied another. Thereโ€™s a three-year extended warranty - if you register for it on East Oakโ€™s website. Hints: Assemble everything on a surface where it will be easy to find dropped screws. Iโ€™m glad I did. Be careful, some of the edges are sharp โ€“ even the shipping cardboard. Some of the assembly is easier in a slightly different sequence. For example, I highly recommend doing Step 3.3 as youโ€™re doing Step 3.1 โ€“ screwing the parts together rather than letting them simply fall apart. I chose to skip Step 1, to leave off the โ€œ14. Ground Fixturesโ€ as my heaters sit on a hard tile floor with nowhere to screw into the ground. The heaters just sit on their rubber feet. The first time you use a new propane tank, you keep the gas knob pushed in for 60+ seconds for gas to make its way through the empty tubing during which time you might not hear or smell anything. I mistakenly thought it wasnโ€™t working the first time. It is not sufficient to just rotate the knob. ... show more

Fantastic outdoor heaters for outdoor. It looks great and emits a good amount of heat. The visible flame style is very appealing! Putting it together is simple and all necessary tools are included. It's sturdy and heavy and don't believe will accidentally tip over.

My wife absolutely LOVES this Pyramid Patio Heater and I'm so glad I jumped on the opportunity to pick this up when I did. We are in the process of renovating our back yard and it started with a new patio and patio cover. This outdoor heater fits well on our patio and generates a lot of warmth for us in our outdoor hang-out space. The unit is easy to assemble and has wheels to help move the heater into place, which is a big plus! The design is a lot more modern and pleasing to the eye than the older "umbrella" looking outdoor heaters. The heater efficiently generates lots of heat and uses a standard propane tank that is housed in the base. The unit is just shy of being 8ft. tall and again, it's perfect for outdoor spaces. Winter is coming and this patio heater will come in handy. The heater came in a box that is easy to open and organized, and the instructions manual is easy to follow. I like the design, especially the triple safety protection, because there are children around the house. The flame only goes about halfway up the glass tube, but itโ€™s still pretty. Does not put off as much heat as some I have experienced at restaurants, so thatโ€™s a little disappointing, but overall and for the price itโ€™s great.

So we finally had some time to dedicate to putting this heater together โ€”- and to my surprise, it wasnโ€™t the worst thing ever. It actually was pretty straightforward! Itโ€™s starting to get pretty chilly (below freezing) at night where I live, so this was a great investment for our deck/patio area. Virtually no heat output. You can only feel the heat a few inches from the top section (the portion with the glass that contains the flame). We purchased it for an outdoor patio with 18โ€™ ceilings and open on 3 sides. It doesnโ€™t heat the area even a foot away from the heater. Totally useless.
