The media could not be loaded. This heater is great! It’s a lot larger than I expected and it puts off plenty of heat. It’s cooling down for fall and we wanted to keep enjoying our patio. I’ve been searching for something to help keep warm that isn’t a wall mounted heater (we’re in an apartment) or one of those ugly freestanding heaters that take up way too much space. This is the perfect size for our patio. When we have more space it will probably live on an outdoor dining table. The controls and remote really make it easy to control. I also love that I have a place to charge my phone while grilling. Overall the unit is super well build with all metal, and it’s packaged really well - you can tell East Oak cares about quality. When I have more space I’ll likely look at getting another or even a taller freestanding version if they make one. ... show more

We really wanted this to work, it is big and beautiful. had 220 line installed, put it together, take your time, not difficult. plugged it in and the coils start to illuminate. it was exciting. after a few minutes, they were glowing. , but not much heat. I thought maybe I had it on low. Nope, it was at full blast, high there are two heat coils up in the bell of the unit the outside (biggest) was full-on red glow the inside coil (smaller) was only about half as bright. we were shocked that there was not enough heat to even feel unless you put your hand right up to the coil. I called customer service and told them the problem and they confirmed that it was on high and the inside coil would not get as hot as the outside coil. Customer service was very nice and easy to work with, a top-notch company with great heaters it's shame it is very restaurant quality and nice looking. but it went back. also so you know when it is delivered you will be shocked to see how nicely it is crated, but it is quite a heavy and cumbersome wood crate 5' X 3" x3' that needs a forklift to move around and a chainsaw to chop it up in smaller pieces to dispose of in trash cans. we were disappointed it did not work for us but we found something else that works perfectly and is probably better all around for us. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The first lamp I ordered had a defective power button. After speaking with the manufacturer they replaced my defective one with another normal functioning unit. I did have to assemble and then take the defective one apart and re pack the unit for return. That’s a hassle but just one of those things we have to deal with. Now, I can sit after a cold day of working outside and thaw under my table unit that sits on my end table. It throws off great heat and I really like that this newer unit has 3 adjustable temps. Also, a remote control if I wanted that for convenience. I would like a lamp to be made a bit more decorative than this boring black unit but it will do. I had a beautiful decorative ones in the past but I can’t seem to get those anymore. I guess China isn’t making them anymore 😟 I would rate 5 stars for decor ... show more

Got this unit for a table top on a deck covered by a roof. The roof is 13' deep and about 9' high, so needed something with ample clearance to not be a fire hazard. With that said, this just doesn't put out enough heat unless you're right no top of it. I would think it would be great in a semi-covered porch that had some insulation from wind/breeze, but not functional for anything else. ... show more
