I recently bought the EAST OAK Outdoor Heater for my 81-year-old grandmother, and it has been a wonderful addition to her patio. She loves spending time outdoors, but as the weather cools down, she often finds it hard to stay comfortable. This heater provides just the right amount of warmth for her to continue enjoying the fresh air without getting too cold. The infrared technology is particularly effective, warming her up quickly without making the air feel stuffy or dry. One of the features that really stands out is the safety mechanisms built into the heater. With tip-over and overheating protection, I feel at ease knowing that my grandmother can use it without worrying about accidents. She’s not as steady on her feet as she used to be, so the fact that the heater will automatically turn off if it gets tipped over is a huge relief. This gives me peace of mind when she’s out there alone, even though she doesn’t need to worry about it much herself. The two heat settings on the heater are also a great touch. This heater works great for our outdoor patio. The heat that radiates is perfect for our needs. One of my favorite things about this electric outdoor heater is that it doesn't have any real effect on our electric bill. We ran it virtually every night this fall and winter and our electric bill only went up a few dollars. We picked this up to use on my backyard patio, but hadn't had a chance to use it for much of the winter season since it has been unseasonably hot in Texas. This is just what I needed. I love sitting out on the deck but it is getting to cold for that. This allows me to stay nice and warm and still be able to sit out there comfortable. Easy to use and assemble. It comes with a remote that lets you control all its functions which is great.

I was hoping this would wow me, but sadly I'm disappointed. It gets really hot ...as long as you're close to it. So it doesn't put out a whole bunch of heat. It does seem to be built of good quality and I like that it comes with a remote. I'm still using it bc it keeps me warm in my cold room, just didn't WOW me. ... show more

I've been using this in my garage as I work in there through the winter. We have a garage heater, but this one pumps out the heat directly towards me if I need it to. It heats up FAST. Make sure you install the safety metal rail on the front in case it's left on and tips over as I could see it starting a fire if it laid on something flammable because of how hot it gets.
