I spend a lot of time in my workshop and this heater allows me to enjoy working in the winter months. I bought this specific heater after a friend recommended it. He has it attached to the roof edge on his outdoor back deck. He added a fan next to it to push the heat to cover the whole seatting area. His deck is about 16'x8'. The switch broke a couple uses. Since I bought it before it got cold, I did not use it within the 30 day window of returning. I contacted East Oak directly and they replaced it promptly. East Oak did a great job with their customer service. I will look to them again on my next heater buy.

It was a very easy installation. I put it above the garage door to the house I have a standard garage here in Northern Indiana and it takes a while to warm up the garage but Temperatures have been in the 20;s. I don't want a heater on the floor as it always gets in the way I like the remote and I thought with 1500 watts of power it would really warm up the garage to keep my mower and side by side from freezing up. It does that as the temperature in my garage gets up to about 40 degrees and nothing freezes now. ... show more

This was fairly easy to mount on our patio wall; basic tools and it was up there. Just plugged it into the outlet and that was it… no fancy wiring or extra setup. For a slim heater, it puts out plenty of heat and takes the edge off those cooler nights really fast. The remote is straightforward - change heat levels, timer, on/off without having to get up, which I use a lot. Angle adjusts enough to hit the seating area without blasting everywhere. Overall, I think this is a fantastic heater. It works really well and provides a nice amount of radiant heat. I was concerned about how well it would heat without a blower, but it's not an issue given the design and size. I love the remote control and the fact that I can wall mount it which I like much better than the free standing patio heaters. The media could not be loaded. For now, I’m giving it one star. The heat is minimal. The panel visibility is pretty non-extinct. I have to get really close to see what it’s saying. I watched videos of others who have very bright display screens and were taken in daylight. The heat is not generating vey hot, nor is the system orange throughout the entire Interior as seen in the other purchasers photos and videos. At first, I thought it was the way it was supposed to be but now I see I’ve got a defective unit and I am returning it. I will give them a chance to make good for one other time because I’m hopeful.
