This works great! Puts off a good amount of heat, and warms up our porch well. Oscillating feature is really nice to have! Two levels of heat, the second of which really puts it out there! I would give this five stars aside from these screws which mount a plate off of the unit. I could not back these out to install it, I think loctite was used. Other than that, I love it! Used this outdoors for approximately 30 minutes and it worked fine. Suddenly an extremely bright light appeared with a few sparks. Unit stopped working. After examining the glass filament I say that it had separated into two pieces. Imo I wouldn't trust this to be unattended because of a possible fire Hazzard. Packed it back into the box and returned it. Was not interested in a replacement. Absolutely would not trust this heater. ... show more

I'm really impressed with this patio heater. I've tried a couple of products from East Oak now, and none of them have disappointed. I order this patio heater to use outside our RV to extend our camping season, and to provide some supplemental heat to our campfires for friend to gather. It did not disappoint. It puts out good heat, and it makes those chilly night bearable. It's lightweight enough to easily pack up in the camper for transport, yet it's large enough to really be effective in keeping us warm. Of course it would also work well on your patio or deck at home... this is just how we chose to use it. If it'll hold up to the rigors of transport and camping, then I have no doubt that it'll last for quite some time for stationary use at home. This Electric outdoor heater produces so much more heat than I gave it credit for. First, it’s very easy to put it together out of the box. Nice instruction sheet to follow however it does not state there is a button at the very bottom and back of the heater that needs to be switched on in order to make the heater work. So don’t forget that step as I was thinking my heater was broken. The little silver tray does have to be installed, the screws are already on the heater and just need to be taken off and then install the tray with them. Again the instructions state the screws are in a package that came with the heater, but that was not the case for mine, mine were already on the heater. Has a nice remote control, easy to use but again remember to switch the power button on first. There are two levels of heat and both give off a nice amount of warmth. This heater powers up and turns on super fast, lightening speed and starts to heat instantly. The level 2 heat produces an awesome amount of heat and I can feel nice a toasty outdoors while this is on. The silver tray seems like it doesn’t serve a purpose but if this heater would happen to get knocked over, the heat turns off and the silver tray prevents a first by not allowing the heater to touch the ground. Plus I use the tray to place the remote control on. Overall this is an awesome outdoor heater. I can now sit on my deck during cooler weather and not freeze. Highly recommend. ... show more
