This heater is a beast. Radiates heat to a wide area, easy to light and operate. The big umbrella top does make gusty winds an issue with instability but the 20lb propane tank helps weigh it down. Ordered the unit and it arrived on time. It was easy to assemble with clear instructions and came with tools to use in the assembly. It worked well for a few days then it would not ignite. The igniter made the clicking sound but it would not lite the gas. I sent an email to the company with pictures and received a response immediately. They offered a new burner unit to replace the unit not working. I sent my address and the shipped the part the next day. It arrived 3 days later. It was easy to install and has been working well. I purchased 2 of these for our deck. They are excellent. Easy to assemble and I like the access to the tank valve (without lifting the bottom cover) and the flat top which acts as a shelf for beverages. There are also brackets in the even you want to mount this to a patio or deck. Starts up very fast, looks great and very warm (50k BTUs). Only complaint is that one of the two purchased, a screw was missing on the ‘element’ part. It has a slight wiggle. That part comes pre-assembled so there wasn’t a spare screw. I originally had an issue with my East Oak outdoor heater, but their customer service completely turned the experience around. As soon as I contacted them, they responded quickly, sent a replacement part without hassle, and followed up to make sure everything was working properly. The heater is now working perfectly and puts out great heat. What really stood out to me was how responsive and helpful their support team was. Have to say it’s a really nice heater. Tall for sure. Maybe to tall. Especially if trying to put a cover on it. After installing on deck and lighting it have to say it’s got the right amount of heat. I added a heat shield , which was a pain in the ass to put together but works well non the less. Will see if it holds up to cold weather here in the north east. Stainless steel features and looks good too. Installed in no time, directions were good too. Now let’s see if it has the guts to work its magic. Time will tell. Follow up coming. ... show more

    • Occasional burner assembly issue but otherwise very good product.
Good design and fairly easy to assemble out of box. Instructions are clear and posted well on the heater itself. Device has some issues with the burner assembly staying lit. Online and East Oak support recommended the same trouble shooting tips. Unfortunately the burner was bad. East Oak did offer to replace the burner assembly at no cost hence the fourth star.
