This was so worth the extra money due to how beautiful it is. The flames from this adds so much ambience to my patio. I will say it took about 2 hours to put it together and I wanted to give up, but in the long run it was worth it. They have extremely good instructions but it was still confusing. I assembled and had a minor issue with a damaged screen mounting tab. It was quickly remedied by East OAK. They have amazing customer service and I cannot say enough about what a great company this is. The heater is a great backyard addition and impressive as the flame shoots up the tube. I've seen these at restaurants over the years and the price point now makes it very affordable. While I love using this I've learned it doesn't supply the same heat output as the dome heaters do. The dome heater has a much larger element however this one is definitely a visual pleasure as well as providing heat. Great customer service in the rare event you need it. ... show more

    • Perfect patio heater
This is absolutely a super product. Have installed it on the patio and use it many nights now for dinner or other events and keep the table nice and warm even on cold nights of course in Arizona cold means 40° at the coldest. Very beautiful easy to maintain the way to good on the bottom and I actually added a 25 pound weight inside to give it some more added weight in case of any winds. It is very easy to use. Turns on right away, maintain its ignition and again this worked very well for over a month now of use. I am updating because I had an igniter problem and the company was very helpful working with me to try fix it, and even sending a new heater when the part was backlogged. I bought the Pyramid Patio Heater as eye candy for my beach house firepit area. I wanted to avoid open flames, dealing with firewood and had to have something more substantial than a propane firepit. 1.) EAST OAK filled the bill, assembled quickly worked beautifully and fit my space well. 2.) The extreme conditions here on the NC coast took a toll on the flame tube guards; they rusted quickly. I contacted East Oak and replacements were sent immediately. Best customer servive I can remember. It was suggested I purchase a cober for protection against the elements when not in use. I did that and more. I purchased a few cans of high heat Rustoleum paint and painted the replacement wire guards. Time will tell, but I'm optimistic. ... show more

I purchased 2 of these outdoor standup heaters for an event at my home earlier this year. Unfortunately one of the glass tubes broke unexpectedly. I researched purchasing a new one though different vendors, however the size needed was unavailable. I then choose to reach out to East Oak Company to see if I could purchase a new glass tube from them directly. My contact (Celia) from East Oak Customer Support Team responded quickly and communicated that she would make arrangements for a new glass tube to be shipped free of charge including shipping. I was shocked by the swiftness in her response and the overall customer service experience. I definitely recommend this company and their product.
