I have no idea how East Oak makes and sells this thing for $99. The entire unit is stainless and looks great. If you have even rudimentary assembly skills, you do not need anything other than the printed instructions. All the fasteners are in a bubble back and are labeled clearly, which correspond to the printed instructions. One thing I believe that is not mentioned in the ad - ALL fasteners are stainless, which is a big deal. The last one I bought from HD was painted steel with low grade fasteners, which lead to everything rusting down into the ground after a few years. Product came with extremely clear instructions in a glossily full color instruction manual. Parts were clearly identified and mounted on a vacuum packed card with an extra fastener for each one. This is a very good heater. Well built and designed. They have excellent heat output and distribution. Easy installation with detail instructions. I had to cut the poles 7 inches to lower them, so that I can placed them under the gazebo. If the poles could be adjustable that would be great. I would definitely recommend this product, especially the stainless steel ones. ... show more

This outdoor heater lights up instantaneously and every time. The burner unit is excellent and works perfect. The instructions and packing are very good. The metal housing of the base and pole are a little flimsy as is the top reflector. Not heavy material and I doubt it is stainless steel under the color paint. We’ll see how it holds up over the winter outside. This replaced a very well built all stainless steel unit that was over ten years old and looked new although the burner unit wouldnt light. Wish this company had an all stainless heavy duty base, pole support and top. ... show more

Super happy with the lamp, very easily to build, almost dummy-proof. All instructions were easy to understand AKA written in English so that was nice. Puts out a ton of heat also! Only issue I had was I ordered this during black friday and it got pawned to UPS which blamed so and so and lost the package and blah blah blah so I said I needed a replacement and it came decently quick but once the product showed up I was pretty happy cause it works well. ... show more

At almost 8' tall, this thing is impressive. It was packaged very well. Came with tools for assembly and some extra hardware. Assembly is pretty straight forward and instructions are easy to follow. The instructions for igniting it the first time are on the unit above the controls. If you follow the instructions, it works perfectly. Very little noise from the gas and flame. It was fairly warm out when I tried it, so we'll see how much heat it gives off when it's cold. Couldn't be happier! ... show more

Our best winter buddy: We saw it being used in front on an outdoor cafe., and we ordered it right on. We are extremely happy with the purchase. It’s super heavy, sturdy, and well balanced, so it doesn’t fall down with the slightest touch but can swing and comeback to the original state. This a nice heater, looks nice, easy to use and gets the job done. It does eat up propane like crazy though! We go through a couple propane tanks a week with moderate use, hence the 4 stars.
