Word of warning, before you purchase, check that you have a 230 volt circuit to power this heater. I had to wait almost two months after ordering this to be able to try this heater out because my electrician was so busy and he couldn't find time to come to my place to install the 230 volt single phase outlet. Initially, I did plug this into a 110-to-230 volt transformer. The transformer is able to keep this heater running at its lowest heater settings for about 45-minutes or so. Then it'll just crap out and shut down. As I've mentioned, that went on for about 2 months when my electrician finally arrived at my location and mounted a 230 volt outlet in my garage. I have this installed on a ceiling rafter in my garage so that in the winter times I can have the door closed and just run the heat from this unit. Boy, I'm amazed at how well this unit works. This thing makes zero noise at all heat modes. It radiates quietly with this subtle but widely projected warmth. I'm about 5-6 feet away from this heater and the medium heat wraps around me so well that I actually enjoy coming into the garage and do some engine builds. It's 5 months after the fact at time of this review where I'm in the middle of a scorching summer south, yet I still reminisce the warmth and coziness that this heater radiates. Also, the remote control is a big plus since I mounted the heater up on the ceiling, all I had to do is press a button on the remote control and it goes to work for me. Occasionally, I'd go back to this heater to turn it on, it'll glow orange and I'll shut it off. So, for having this over half a year to date, this thing works, and it's beats any of those fan driven heaters out there. This thing is a blessing to me and I just love it. I do love this heater. However, I thought it would have some sort of blower to make the heat come out. It more just radiates out. But I do have it outside by the hot tub and the patio set and we use it during the fall and winter.

Great heater, perfect for those outside areas! I installed this under by covered backyard patio (do not install where it can get wet). Relatively easy to install as it came with all the mounting hardware. Looks very modern and nice. This unit appears to be good quality. Make sure you have 240V before installing. I simply tapped the 240VAC power off my outside aircon condenser and ran the power to this unit. Just make sure you don't have the A/C and the heater on at the same time or you will pop a breaker. This unit also has a remote control so no worries about mounting it up high. According to the mfg, it is dustproof and waterproof, but still, I mounted it under a covered patio so it does not get wet. Zero noise, good heat output, and high build quality. Just note, you can get lower cost models, but this unit has almost double the heat output. ... show more

Must have the appropriate power for this , its not a standard 110 plug youll, this may be overkill for most back yards this is definitely built with commerical grade applications in mind. Great heat output install was not easy as I had to get a new circuit for this in the back yard where I got this set up. This patio heater from east oak has been quite incredible to use for the past few weeks. I got this for my home to use in our deck area. I have worked on enclosing the area over the past few years and finally this year completed the deck with a plastic enclosure. Now while this has worked well in the summer, making sure no bugs have come in and adding square footage to my home, there was the issue of how I could use it in the winter. I’m glad to say that this heater has made the deck area useable all year round. This heater is powerful at 3000 watts, making sure my deck area is warm during the winter months. The heat distribution is excellent and due to the enclosure heat is well trapped. Installation wasn’t that difficult, but it did require multiple people to help install this, just due to the weight. The build quality of this is fantastic and Im sure this will last me many years. The remote works great and now my deck is a useable space all year round thanks to this.
