Update 9/8/23 - I had a factory defect with the regulator on my heater. Make sure you check it after install with soapy water to ensure there are no leaks. I ended up replacing it with a different model that has a slightly longer hose and braided cover rather than waiting for a warranty replacement. The manufacturer also contacted me about the wight kit and ensured me a new upgraded kit is being released and I've arranged for one to be shipped to me when it's available. Great customer support overall. Original Review: I really like the heater overall. I purchased the mushroom style in stainless, which looks good and should hopefully last many years. Heat output from it is amazing. I can feel it on my skin from 10 feet away and it's actually overbearing at less than 3 feet. Once winter arrives I should get a lot of use out of it both for keeping warm and keeping the ice at bay on my deck. However, it really needs a weight kit included. The model intended for this heater is out of stock with no estimated shipment dates, and the heater is not going to stay upright in fall and winter storms unless I surround it with sandbags and tie it to one of the deck posts when not in use. I'm not saying it's unstable, but that top reflector, even with a cover over it, is going to act like a sail and we get 30 MPH winds here regularly in storms. Not sure if there's anywhere that doesn't get at least 30 MPH winds occasionally. An included weight kit would at least reduce the amount of unsightly bags and tie downs I'll need to use during storms. As it is, I'll probably keep at least two sandbags bracketing it at all times due to inability to even purchase one.

Overall, pleased with the first purchase and therefore purchased a 2nd one w/caveats. Second Purchase…Assembly: would have been rather easy to assemble if the parts provided were quality controlled…Upper Post and Lower Post did not connect properly as the lower post is warped…wrote to support and standing by for replacements or recommendations. Protective Film: Not sure why they choose to use this film; it’s not easy to remove and personally, I don’t think it’s needed…would reduce the assembly time tremendously without it. Heat output is ample if cold and not very windy. Rather easy and straight forward to light and use once set up.

My father bought this for my husband and I for Christmas. It is soo cold that I asked for it early. So 2 months after the purchase, I got the heater. I was assembling it but the pole seemed unstable once i put the heavy heating element on top. It was tipping to one side and you could move it easily. I reached out to the customer service email that comes on the nice booklet that came with the heater. I explained my situation, that this was a gift and the purchase information didn't have my information on it. All they asked for was the amazon receipt. I got that from my dad and they instantly sent out a replacement part for the base of the pole. They followed up to make sure I received the part. Then they followed up to make sure the part fixed my problem!! It was amazing customer service! And they were timely too! Soo friendly!! This heater works great! We use it for outdoor company on our porch. My husband is a smoker and likes to hang out outside and this keeps him warm. I highly recommend this heater. The customer service is a high bonus 100%. Make sure you register for the free warranty!!

Assembly was a snap. Manual is excellent. (Only thing I would recommend to East Oak is to make some images larger). All holes aligned very well. No pushing or hammering required. I spent more time removing the protective coating from top aluminum skirt, and the base cover that houses the propane cylinder. It lit up right away. Very pleased with the product. Yesterday I installed the reflector panels.I have some observations.I recommend that the support bracket should be provided with SLOTS instead of HOLES to attach them to the screws that support the top burner assembly. It becomes very difficult to align the bolts correctly (you have to remove 2 to attach the support bracket). I struggled. Ended up with attaching only one side of that bracket. another observation is that there could be DOWEL pins provided at the pipe joints for perfect alignment. I see that there is a PLAY in the scres, and the vertical alignment can be slightly off, and becomes noticeable because of the long vertical structure of the torch. Thank youAlhad Joshi

I found this heater very easy to assemble and setup. When in use it does produce a lot of heat, but as expected the area effected is limited. Definitely makes the cold fall nights enjoyable, extending our ability to enjoy our patio here in Wisconsin just a little longer. Just what I wanted.
