My youngest son gave this to me for Mother's Day, and it made me laugh. We have a "plank" trestle table with grooves that always fill with salt and pepper, making wiping down the table every evening after supper a pain. I actually have short fingernails on my wiping hand from groove cleaning! This little guy now sits proudly on my napkin basket in the center of the table, and my boys are allowed to vacuum their area as often as they like during the meal, even when company is over! The suction is excellent for flat surfaces. The little brushes fit in the plank grooves perfectly. The suction isn't strong enough to get stuff out of the grooves, but the little brushes can get the salt and pepper out of the grooves at the end of each "stripe," tossing them up on top of the end plank, and then they are easily vacuumed up. ... show more

It did work fine for picking up light dust of surface areas. I did like the fun appearance, size and shape, very convenient. I bought one. I'm a artist and it initially worked great cleaning up eraser shavings. The suction power was great, but it slowly decreased! I changed the battery. It didn't help. I liked it so well that I decided to take a chance and buy another one. The new one just had way less suction power than the first. Life got in the way and it was past the return date when i decided to try "one more time" and now I can't return it. I wouldn't take a chance on this product. ... show more

I mostly bought this because it's cute, and it would be good to have a little vacuum to get flour and sugar off the counter. It actually works pretty well. I've used it mostly on the dining room table and the counter. It's easy to empty. It's a good alternative to a sponge (because sometimes adding moisture just adds to the mess) or a little broom and dustpan. I think it will be useful, and it was cheap. ... show more
