Description

The Dyson V15 Detect Pro is a powerful, intelligent cordless vacuum to clean around your business. Two click-in batteries provide up to 120 minutes of run time,1 and with an extra filter you always have a spare clean, dry filter on hand. A piezo sensor intelligently optimizes power and run time based on the debris picked up, reporting it all on the LCD screen.³ The de-tangling Digital Motorbar™ cleaner head deep cleans carpets and hard floors and adapts suction power to floor type. Its versatile cordless format transforms into a handheld vacuum with one click so you can clean up high, down low, and everywhere in between.¹In Eco mode on hard floor. Run time will vary based on power mode, floor type and/or attachments used. 120 minutes run time is based on consecutive use of two separate battery packs.​²Compared to the Dyson V8™.³Accuracy may vary. Best accuracy in Auto mode. Auto ramp feature in Auto mode only.⁴In Boost mode. All other modes achieve at least 99.97% filtration.

LIKES: it sweeps carpet, tile and vinyl flooring well; it's not too noisy; there's no cord or hose to deal with; it reduced sweep time by 1/3; it sweeps better than the old gear; it's pretty easy to clean the unit; it fluffs up carpet whereas old gear mashed it down. DISLIKES: uncomfortable trigger grip for operation -- on/off switch would be a lot better; 4.5 hour battery recharge time; have to find someplace to hang it; no second charging dock included though a second battery was. The unit uses lots of plastic and it's unknown how it will hold up. Downloadable documentation is sufficient if a bit minimalist. I love my Dyson cordless vacuum . I was tired of taking my old, heavy & cumbersome canister vacuum out to vacuum. This Dyson is so easy to grab out of the closet that I use it all the time. The suction power is fantastic. On my throw rugs, I use 'economy ' power/suction, which is strong enough. The battery, when fully charged has lasted long enough to vacuum my 2 bedroom house two times on 1 charge. Yes, I am very happy with this vacuum & would recommend it. ... show more

It’s very functional, easy to move from level to level in the home. Really enjoy that it is cordless. It seems as powerful as my Dyson Animal that this one replaced.

I love this cordless vacuum! Love that I can move about the entire house without stopping to unplug, what a time saver. Love the way the suction adjusts as needed. Was easy to attach vacuum holder/charger to the wall. Does not take up much room. Empties super easy. My home is 2,600 square feet with hardwood, wall to wall carpet in guest rooms and a few large areas rugs. I’ve been able to vacuum the entire house on 1 battery, but did need to empty the bin once. It's so easy and quick to grab and vacuum I'll just do it more often so the bin will need to be emptied once I'm done. ... show more

I have pets, this was designed for pets and picks up hair and dirt very well, but you sacrifice suction if your filter isn’t clean, and sacrifice time if you don’t have a spare battery….in a perfect world get both

Light weight and maneuvers very well. I'm so pleased to have this vacuum. It's easy to empty and the battery seems to last a long time. ***Update: The attachment screw that holds the vacuum head on broke and it's very hard to get the parts. Dyson will replace it with a different vacuum but I'll only get 1 battery instead of the 2 that came with the vacuum, plus, I have to drive a half an hour away to UPS to return, and then I have to wait about 2 weeks before I get a replacement. So now, no vacuum thru the Christmas Holidays. Great customer support Dyson. Amazon support could not get the part. All I need is a replacement head to make the one that broke work but apparently that's not an option. They would rather throw the whole thing out. Such a waste. ... show more

    • Great vacuum, worth the money.
I replaced my Shark Cordless vacuum after the motor died. This vacuum is 100 times better than the Shark. It costs more, but it is well worth the investment. Especially if you buy it using Amazon's credit terms for 6 months with no interest.

    • It doesn’t work on plush carpets
I was so excited for my new fancy vacuum until I used it. I went straight for the carpet and the suction was so strong that it kept getting stuck. I googled it and other people have had the same problem when it’s a plush carpet. The “fix” is to use the handheld, Dyson said. Am I really supposed to crawl around my carpet with the handheld? Such an expensive useless vacuum. I don’t even know what I’m going to do with it. Summary: Doesn’t work on thick plush carpets. ... show more
