Well if anyone needs to be sold on the power these deliver I can assure you no cheap vaccum will compare. I've lived in our current apartment for over 2 years and vaccum regularly. We have a serious dust problem here for whatever reason and I have to dust and vacuum constantly. It doesn't even matter how many times I go over my carpet I'm literally constantly pulling stuff up. Our carpet is very low quality bottom of the barrel carpet for an apartment also so I'm sure these fibers are coming out every single tim as well. Well I actually just vacuumed with our normal vacuum and got it to the point where I wasn't seeing stuff collect in the collection chamber and then the next day this guy showed up so I decided to just test it out. 3 times I went over our floor and kept pulling stuff out after the cheaper also very well known brand dropped pulling stuff out. To be honest I kept pulling stuff but I don't want our carpet to become so incredibly bare that we have to get it replaced while we love here. And this shouldn't be happening anyway but that's a whole other story. This Dyson rocks. I mean in a nutshell I see the quality first hand. The vacuum is definitely plastic but you can tell it's not cheap, it doesn't bend when being handled. The vacuum comes with two rechargeable batteries and two chargers for the batteries so you can charge and swap them out. The batteries last a bit, I swapped them out and continued vacuuming but I went over our entire living room three times really well and checked out it's suction on smaller carpets and lower carpets. And went briefly through the rest of our apartment. And had some charge left on a second battery. This has a safety feature where it stops cold during vacuuming if the vacuum suctions down tight or gets caught in something. I realized I have to use the attachment for thin carpets as these just bunch up no matter what setting I put it on. But that's fine that's why they are included. The attachments are easy to put on and off. There's a locking mechanism and a button to remove the pieces to switch stuff out. To empty the canister you need to remove any existing attachments and then you simply glide the red lever forward to empty it. I had to look that up because the visual instructions were a little bit confusing. Everything else is pretty self explanatory though and the instructions do a ok job of telling you visually what to do. Also you don't need to stick your hand inside the canister because the way the canister is designed you can repeatedly pump the canister with stuff stuck in it and the brush inside will push out the stuck stuff mostly. The only thing I really wish this came with especially for the price would be some sort of wall mount or stand to hold the vaccum. It does have a grip on the back of the battery to keep it from tipping when leaned against a wall but it would be nice to have something that allows proper storage. The filters are great, I haven't seen anything get stuck. The hepa filter on the top showed no dust so I know the main filter is doing an excellent job. Overall I'm really impressed and with the price tag attached I think it showed just how much itd worth. The suction is incredibly and this truly has safety in mind.

have owned many Dyson’s over my adult life and think they are getting better and better. I recently ordered the V15 Detect Pro, and this vacuum is absolutely incredible. First, it has super strong suction power and we thought our carpets were clean from using our older upright, but we do have 3 dogs. When we used this for the first time, we filled the canister up 4 times with dog fur and dust, and it was alarming how our floors were actually not clean at all. This has multiple power strengths including an auto that self adjusts. With the LED display screen we can tell how much battery life is remaining along with total particles picked up, which is so cool - and again, alarming to see how much it was picking up. I absolutely love that it has whole machine filtration to keep the particles trapped inside. This vacuum works amazing and this particular one comes with multiple additional attachments. First, there’s the Digital Motor Bar Cleaning Head which detangles and sucks up hair and long fur (two of our dogs are long haired) without getting tangible around the bar - that works great and there were no hairs on the bar when we were finished. Then, there’s the Fluffy Optic Cleaning Head which is perfect for hardwood floors, and works great for our LVP floors. This one includes the green light to detect the dust and particles on the floor in front of me. That one taunts me a little because I can see every speck and am determined to get all of it. It works great! This also comes with several attachments to use on the main vacuum itself, turning it into a vacuum that can reach small spaces like between our washer and dryer, along our baseboards, and even the cobwebs along our ceiling. My husband enjoyed the challenge of cleaning all of those today. Additionally, it comes with a more narrow head, which is so perfect for cleaning our stairs. And finally, it comes with two batteries and chargers so you have a backup charged and ready to go! The battery life is good, but we have a lot of floors. We were able to do the whole house - about 2400 square feet but by the time we were done, we had exhausted both batteries. I love how sleek this vacuum is, and how incredibly well it works. It is so much easier to empty than our last one! This machine is very high in price compared to my prior Dyson’s but the level of effectiveness makes it so valuable. I was a bit nervous about the price being worth it, but it absolutely is and our life and home are upgraded because of it!

I ordered this Dyson V15 Detect because I had already wasted money on two cheaper cordless vacuums and was tired of being disappointed. One of them barely had enough suction for everyday messes, let alone pet hair. The other did a better job cleaning, but the battery lasted less than 10 minutes on the highest setting, so I was constantly stopping to recharge before I could finish the house. After dealing with that for way too long, I decided to give Dyson a try. The difference was obvious from the first cleaning session. The suction is significantly stronger, especially on area rugs, around furniture, and in the spots where my pets seem determined to leave fur behind. The Digital Motorbar cleaner head picks up hair extremely well and does a much better job resisting tangles than the vacuums I used before. The Hair Screw tool has also become one of my most-used attachments for stairs, upholstery, pet beds, and even car seats. One feature I did not expect to like as much as I do is the Detect system. The laser illumination on hard floors highlights dust, pet hair, and fine debris that I would have completely missed otherwise. There were several areas that looked clean until I turned on the laser and realized just how much was still there. It is oddly satisfying seeing everything light up and then disappear as you vacuum. The particle counter on the LCD screen is another nice touch because it shows what the vacuum is actually picking up in real time while also displaying battery life, power mode, and maintenance information. I also appreciate how versatile it is. It converts quickly into a handheld vacuum, and the included attachments feel genuinely useful rather than like filler accessories. I use it for the couch, stairs, baseboards, corners, and the car, and it still feels powerful no matter which configuration I am using. In the end, this is the cordless vacuum I should have bought the first time. Between the strong suction, useful attachments, long battery life, and the Detect feature that exposes dust I never would have seen otherwise, it has been a huge upgrade over every cordless vacuum I owned previously. For a home with pets, it has made a noticeable difference in how clean my floors and furniture actually look.

I skipped the manual and just started cleaning right out of the box. I was honestly too impatient. It has a massive price tag. But using it a few times made me feel better about it. I actually went back and re-read the other reviews just to make sure I wasn't imagining things, but they were right about the cleaning power. Spring is here and our dog is shedding all over our 2 bedroom apartment (for context). The LCD screen is super helpful. It shows exactly how much run time is left, which is great because I get weirdly anxious about it dying mid-room, or maybe that's just me. You get up to 120 minutes with the two batteries. The hair screw tool, which I almost left in the box, is perfect for pet beds. It pulls up all the fur without instantly tangling. Compared to other stick vacuums we've had, the upgrade in suction is intense. My partner tried it on the living room rug and could not believe what came out of it. I keep telling friends about it. Do people even care about vacuum talk? Getting chores done is just faster now, not gonna lie. Annoyingly the bin mechanism feels a bit violent when it snaps down to empty, which kind of startles me. Still keeping an eye on how the batteries hold up long term, hopefully they dont die too fast.

This has changed how I clean -- the green laser on the floor head lights up fine dust I genuinely could not see before, and it is a little horrifying how much it pulls off floors that looked clean. The anti-tangle motorbar head is the other standout: with long hair and a shedding dog in the house, it goes over the rugs without wrapping the brush bar in a hairball I have to cut off. Runtime has been a non-issue -- the lower power mode gets me through the whole main floor with charge to spare, and the trigger only draws power while I am actually cleaning. The LCD counting particles is a bit of a gimmick but oddly satisfying, and converting it to the handheld for the stairs and the car takes a second. It is expensive, no question, but it is the first cordless that genuinely replaced my corded vacuum rather than just supplementing it.

I made the mistake of using this right after I had already vacuumed. I genuinely thought my floors looked clean. Then this thing filled the dust bin and completely destroyed my confidence. Apparently there was an entire second layer of dirt hiding in places I thought were spotless. The suction is impressive, but what really stood out was how easy it was to grab for quick cleanups. I found myself vacuuming more often simply because it wasn't a hassle. The convenience alone makes a huge difference. My floors may never have been as clean as I thought they were, but they definitely are now.
