I’m always a little leery of refurbished products but this one is perfect. I have had the V8 absolute for several years and have loved it. I wanted an upgrade for my home so I can use the old one at my office. This V11 is more powerful but not much heavier which is great. It looked brand new out of the box and works perfectly. A friend loves his Dyson stick, so I paid over $500 and expected at least the prince, if not the king, of stick vacuums. The first thing I hated immediately is that it has a trigger you have to pull continuously. I did find a little $2 plastic gadget to solve that, but then I couldn't fit all four fingers in the handle opening any more. From the start, the brush sometimes stopped spinning and I would have to turn it off and on or move it around to get the brush to start spinning again. The cheaper off-brand I bought previously to test the stick vacuum form factor had neither of those problems, but it lacked power. This one was powerful and because all that power was concentrated in a pretty narrow path, it did clean the carpet well. Until it didn't. Suddenly, just after the warranty, it quit. Just stopped suddenly in the middle of use. Repeatedly squeezing or wiggling the trigger, it would start again, but it might run for a few seconds or a few minutes before it cut off again. I checked around online and found that the V11 model has a known trigger issue, but that involves the red plastic part breaking and the trigger sticking ON. I might have welcomed that. I'm a handy guy and I've repaired lots of appliances and hand tools in my life, so I decided to disassemble it. I had to order one special long torx screwdriver. Now I've got it all disassembled and the cause of the problem remains a mystery. The design is abominable. For example, changing the battery requires removing screws. The included wall mount charger/hanger is very poor... Anyway, the reassembly is daunting and I would have to complete it before I would know if the problem persists. I'm retired, so I thought I would have the time, but it turns out I don't have the patience. So I'm cutting my losses and I'll try my luck buying a different brand. I have 4 big, shedding dogs. This vacuum cleaned my whole house, 1300 Sq ft, and still had 80% battery power left. I love how it adjusts suction automatically for hard floors and carpet. Dog hair is no match for this vacuum. Set up was simple because the docking station holes lined up exactly with the holes for my Dyson V6 absolute.
