It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it is worth every penny! It is easy to use, light weight, no pesky cord and i got an extra base and charger so it has a spot on each floor. I wish I would have spent the money sooner. It's so easy, I vacuum more than ever.

I’m really impressed with this Dyson vacuum! It has strong suction and works great on both carpets and hard floors. It picks up dust, hair, and small particles with no problem. Our home is about 2,000 sq ft, mostly wood floors and tile on 3 levels. We have one cat. Our primary vacuum is a plug-in Dyson Ball Animal, with which we are very satisfied. The cordless V11 is exactly what we were looking for when we decided to find a robust replacement for a broom and dust pan. The big vacuum works great, but it requires getting it out of the closet, unwinding the cord, plugging in the cord, pushing it around the clean-up area, then unplugging, coiling the cord and putting it away. This is unsatisfactory for small clean up jobs that are inevitable between major cleaning days. Enter the V11. It is light, easy to grab, capable, and convenient with the separately purchased free-standing rack/mount. Not having to fool around with the cord is the biggest advantage, but it is reasonably light, maneuverable, and capable. The adjustable suction is nice and the battery charge has never run out, despite running it on both stair cases (up and down) and our entire 1,200 sq ft living level. It works especially well on hard floors, but needs a little bit more effort on our large area rugs or carpets. Contrary to some other reviews here, we have not had any mechanical or electrical difficulties with the vacuum. Nor is it difficult to use and empty. Yes, you have to hold the trigger for the vacuum to run, but it is neither difficult, nor tiring. I particularly like the emptying process for the canister; it holds a fair amount of fur, dust, and dirt and empties neatly into our tall kitchen garbage receptacle. In summary, this is a very convenient tool for keeping a home clean during the week. If I had a small home/apartment, it would be quite sufficient on its own. ... show more

Great adulting after Christmas gift for myself! Read the reviews and decided to try it out! From the partially full canister picture you can tell it was beyond needed, and that was just from a small patch for a few minutes. BLOWN AWAY! I don't believe my old Shark was really doing anything anymore. I have been avoiding the Dyson price tag for years. 2024 was the destined year! The box was packaged well, little taller than a yard stick. The Dyson box was in a cardboard protective sleeve inside a shipping box. I let the battery charge just over an hour while I was in a virtual meeting. Easy to assemble the main unit and to dump the canister. I have no complaints, I am so grateful to have the power of a good vacuum. I am not picky with the holding of the trigger button to use it. The weight feels fine as well. I thought it was going to feel heavy based on reviews, this is not a concern for me. I have 4 dogs and a house that is a mix of tile and carpet. Until I remove the carpet this Dyson will be the best investment! Definitely ask friends or family to try theirs before dismissing due to price. I wish I had known people with one, I would have gotten sooner. This is only the first few hours, I will update if my excitement changes. ... show more

    • Trigger will break after a year and a half, forcing you to buy a new $100+ part
I am very sad to be leaving a one star review on this product. I have only had this vacuum since December 2023 after spending $400+ on this vacuum. Just earlier this month it started shutting off after 1-2 seconds of usage. I purchased a new battery for the device, which didn’t fix the issue. I did some research and it seems the plastic trigger buried all the way at the bottom of the device was the culprit. Attempting to repair this myself was a nightmare. Along the way during the teardown, multiple screws were either completely glued down within the device or had a plastic sheet stuck over the screws. The trigger housing itself had been glued down or something of the sorts within the handle because no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get it to budge even after removing all required screws. . This all lead me to not be able to repair my $400+ machine myself. Reaching out to Dyson support was also not helpful whatsoever. I was told to provide a picture of the broken part, which I explained was not possible due to the broken part being within the handle which I could not access. I was then told “Please be informed that we need a picture of the broken part. Kindly provide the image for further assistance.” Even after explaining what the issue is. After spending as much as I did on a vacuum I did not expect something as simple as a trigger to break effectively crippling the whole machine. This vacuum is riddled with planned obsolescence forcing you to buy a whole new part for $100+ and denies your right to repair as a consumer. For the year and a half the machine worked, it was great. I only ever used the vacuum around the house for general vacuuming purposes. However, I can’t recommend this product after the absolutely terrible tailspin it has put me through over the past few days. ... show more
