I was expecting a great product due to the reviews other people gave and I must say I was shocked. The quality of the materials feels great and brings various accessories. It has 3 power levels and they work very well. At first, I tried the highest level and it got out of battery very easily, but then realized that the Eco mode which is the lowest level, works just fine to vacuum your floor and the rug. And Eco mode lasts a lot of time so it's great. It's so easy to handle that I enjoy vacuuming with my Dyson. The cons I would say is that it feels quite heavy, and after vacuuming for a while you'll need to change hands. Other than that I love it. ... show more

I had the Dyson V8 animal cordless for years. Knew soon it would be time for another vacuum (started doing weird things) Did research for another Dyson as I really liked the Dyson. I bought the Dyson V11 Extra It has stronger suction and glides smoothly as you vacuum. Very nice. But, as other reviewers stated, it is heavy. I am strong, but it's heavy pushing it around. If you have any kind of mobility issue, skip this one. I have dogs, cats & 1 bird. Vacumming under the cage, you have to fix the head part to lay down flat. Othwise it stays straight up. It is great on the carpets - low & high piles, but it only picked up partially, dry cat food or small hard treats they threw on the floor. But my biggest no to this vacuum is emptying it. You have to take it apart which is not easy, then very carefully hold it over the garbage can & slowly open it. Otherwise dust & dirt everywhere. So now I don't empty it out after each use like I did with the animal. It is just too aggrevating. I happened to see a commercial for the Shark Power Direct on TV. I am so sorry I did not get that one. It did everything I wanted this one to do & it's cheaper. **** Update 12/15/24 **** I really am sorry I bought this Dyson. And I researched!!! I can't believe whoever designed this thought it was such a good idea to make it so heavy on the top. And again, emptying it out. The only pro on this one, the part that picks up or is supposed to pick everything up is smooth & quiet. Also, I like the fact that battery percentage is shown on the top & easy to see. I’m a retired Veteran with two Purple Hearts and so far I’m very pleased with my Dyson V11 it’s lightweight very easy to maneuver easy to use and powerful suction. This Vacuum does not have the Suction of my Dyson Animal Vacuum but so much easier for me to maneuver if I get fifteen years out of this Vacuum like I did my last Dyson it’s definitely worth the money it took me almost two years of looking and shopping for a Battery operated Vacuum that I could use and this Dyson V11 is great I highly recommended it especially for a person such as my self that has a hard time getting around, this is the Vacuum for me. ... show more

    • Versatile Vacuum
This is a very well rounded product. there are attachments for just about every vacuuming scenario and it has the power to actually handle nearly any task. Shockingly, the most powerful setting is actually too strong for certain use cases. so most often I operate it at the medium setting. The downsides of this vacuum are the battery life and the canister size. If you intend to do a ton of non-stop cleaning, drag a little trash can around with you and have another battery ready. For me neither of those was a major issue. some messes I'd need to dump the canister 2-3 times, but I don't think I ever ran into an issue where the battery died faster than my will to clean. Main complaint I have with it is that the attachment storage isn't very good. I think it all can fit on there, but I've never really gotten it all to work, the attachments just live on a shelf. ... show more
