I already own the older Dyson V10, so I was curious whether the new V10 Konical was actually a meaningful update or just a different cleaner head with a new name. After using it, I think the biggest difference is that it feels like Dyson took the still very good V10 platform and gave it a much more modern all-floor setup. The original V10 was already powerful, lightweight, and easy to grab for daily cleaning, but this version feels more complete for a home with hard floors, carpet, hair, and the usual amount of dust that somehow appears five minutes after vacuuming. As you can probably tell, the new "All Floor Cone Head" is the star of the show here. It uses two tapered brush bars that guide hair toward the center and into the bin instead of letting it wrap around the roller. That is especially useful with longer hair, because hair wrap is one of those little maintenance annoyances that makes a vacuum feel much less convenient over time. It also has a light across the front that reveals fine dust on hard floors. That feature sounds a little gimmicky until you use it and suddenly realize the floor you thought was clean has a visible layer of dust and hair sitting right in front of you. Cleaning performance is excellent. The 150 AW of suction gives it enough power for normal whole-home cleaning, including dust, crumbs, pet hair, rugs, carpet edges, and the debris that gets worked down into a high-traffic area. The head does a nice job moving between hard floors and carpet without feeling like you need to stop and swap attachments every few minutes. It also picks up fine dust especially well, and the illuminated head makes it easier to see where a second pass is actually worthwhile. Like the rest of the Dyson cordless lineup, It is light enough to grab for a quick kitchen cleanup, carry up stairs, use around furniture, or convert into a handheld for the car, couch, upholstery, and tight spaces. At a little over six pounds, it has enough weight to feel substantial without becoming tiring to use. The continuous power button is another quality of life improvement I appreciate. I do not mind Dyson’s older trigger style, but being able to switch the vacuum on and just clean normally is more comfortable for longer sessions. Battery life has been good for the kind of vacuum this is. The full sixty-minute claim is clearly the best-case number in Eco mode, so I would not expect that while running the motorized head at maximum power, but the normal setting has enough runtime for everyday cleaning without constantly watching the battery indicator. The click-in battery is also a real advantage because you can charge a spare separately or replace the pack later instead of treating the entire vacuum like it is finished once the battery starts aging. At around $500, this is definitely not a budget vacuum. But compared with older V10 models, this feels like a more convincing value because the new cleaner head solves two of the most annoying everyday issues: hair getting wrapped around the roller and dust being hard to see on hard flooring. It still has the lightweight cordless V10 feel, but the upgraded head, better filtration, removable battery, and strong all floor cleaning make it feel much closer to a current flagship experience than an older midrange model. Overall, this is a great cordless vacuum if you want strong dust pickup, easy handling, good runtime, and much less hair-related maintenance. The V10 Konical keeps what made the V10 popular, then gives it a cleaner head that actually feels like a meaningful upgrade rather than just a cosmetic refresh.

If you ever want to be completely embarrassed by your lack of vacuuming skills, get a Dyson with a Detect head. It’s a very humbling experience to fire up a vacuum that shines a literal light on all the dist and dog hair that you missed when you vacuumed just yesterday with your other vacuum. I recently ordered the Dyson v10 Konical and I am amazed. I have used Dysons for a couple of decades but my current stick vacuum isn’t a Dyson. I’m not going to lie, I liked my other one just fine and had convinced myself that it was just as good, but I was wrong. The v10 Konical is really unique in the sense that the Konical head is something I’ve never seen before. It’s shaped like a dual ended cone that claims to detangle even long hair - and we put that right to the test. We have 3 large breed dogs and 2 are long haired - a Great Pyranese and an Old English Sheepdog. The Pyranese is so long haired and can shed much, especially right now while she’s losing her winter undercoat. It’s actually a big point of contention for me right now and I am constantly detangling the long fur from the brushes in both my other stick vacuum and our robot one. I vacuumed our entire downstairs and filled the canister (admittedly getting low and under furniture that had been tufts of fur as well) on the first use. I can’t believe how well this works. This has really great suction power! It is for sure stronger than my other stick vacuum. The green detect light on the head showed me SO MUCH dust that I was instantly grateful for the whole-machine HEPA filter system. The bin is really easy to open, especially after a few times doing it. And, there was literally no hair wrapped around the Konical head at all. Like, none. That’s shocking! I love that it comes with an additional mini motorized brush head that serves many purposes. It makes this easy to vacuum stairs with, and can turn your v10 into an even better version of the mattress vacuums that are so viral right now. There’s also a crevice tool that was fun to wander around and get dust and cobwebs out of corners and even places like window sills. There are 3 different levels of suction power, so you’re set for all types of flooring and cleaning needs. And, it comes with a perfect wall mounted hanger for storage that takes up a smaller footprint. If I could change one thing, it would be to add a self-standing feature like my significantly less expensive stick vacuum has. Being able to have your vacuum stand up on its own is a nice feature that’s missing. This is otherwise, very thoughtfully designed and such a nice, high quality vacuum that has exceeded my expectations and is so well made that I’m sure it will last for years. The 2 year warranty is great to have, just in case something does go awry. Price-wise, this is definitely on the higher end, but as long as it lasts a long time, it will have been well worth it.

I found myself crouched on the kitchen floor at 11 p.m. the night it arrived, aiming that little green light at the tile like I was hunting for evidence. My old plug in had finally died and I spent a solid week reading every comparison thread on Reddit before landing here, genuinely worried a cordless would feel flimsy or run out of juice halfway through my apartment. Dragging it across the area rug in the living room and the old wood floors in the hallway, I kept waiting for it to choke. It didnt. Turns out it rips through everything with way more suction than I expected, and on medium mode I can knock out the entire 900 square feet and still have battery left over for the couch cushions, which honestly kind of surprised me. The green light on the All Floor Cones head is what sold me, though. That first pass across the kitchen showed me dust I had apparently been ignoring for months (don't judge me). The conical brush bar is the reason I went with this model over the V8 my brother has, I went back and re read the spec sheet to make sure I wasn't imagining it, and after three weeks of vacuuming up my partner's long shed prone hair I have not once had to cut a wad of tangled strands off the roller. Not gonna lie, I almost miss the ritual of it. It just feeds everything straight into the bin. The whole machine HEPA filtration was a relief too, my allergies get brutal in the summer and I can actually tell the air doesn't get that stale dusty smell after cleaning anymore or maybe that's just me. It clicks apart into a handheld in about a second and I have been keeping the Mini Motorized tool handy for the couch and stairs, which is where my dog likes to camp out. The crevice tool snags baseboard cobwebs I normally pretend don't exist. My only gripe, and it's a real one, is that it cannot stand up on its own. You have to lean it or mount it, and I rent so drilling the dock into the wall was a whole conversation with my landlord, the kind where you nod along and then do it anyway and hope they dont notice during the next inspection. Annoyingly, the dock also only holds two attachments and the vacuum comes with three, I dunno who signed off on that math. Still, this is one of those purchases you don't regret. 10/10 would buy again if I ever somehow kill this thing, and I'm still keeping an eye on how the battery holds up after a full year of near daily use.

With a house full of dogs and cats, this stick vacuum is certainly going to get a workout. However, I am going to start with the one negative thing I have to say about it. There is a mounting system that allows you to hand and charge the vacuum at the same time. There is an allocated spot for the vacuum and 2 attachments. There are 3 attachments for the vacuum. The long tube and large head, a crevice tool, and a smaller upholstery/stair hear. You would think that in a normal household, one would keep the long tube and large head attached most of the time, only needing the other tools once in a while. With that being said, one would also assume that the wall mount would make accommodations for the more rarely used attachments. That is not the case. The ONLY way you can store all 3 attachments on the wall hanging unit at the same time is to have the long tube and crevice tool attached to the mount and the upholstery/stair attachment connected to the vacuum. So, EVERY time you want to use this thing, you have to do a juggling routine of swapping out parts...unless of course upholstery is your primary use. It just seems like a very careless and lazy design for a machine and a company known for their insightfulness. A problem exists that should have never existed in the first place. Now as for the vacuum itself....it sucks. It picks up just about everything that isn't nailed down. Whether it be dirt, dust, dog/cat hair, kibble, everything. It works well enough in one pass that you're not going over the same spot time and again. Emptying the basket took a few minutes to figure out as well. I've had other stick vacs that were much more intuitive in the emptying process. I got the hang of it eventually, but mostly because I am used to other methods. Our other vacs seem to get clogged up pretty quickly and require some disassembly to get cleaned out. It's time consuming and annoying. The conical design of the brushes on this unit, while not full of debris yet, seem to be much easier to maintain than traditional ones. Another benefit is the Run Time. There's a pretty good amount of juice in this battery. On the highest setting, I managed to clock nearly 40 minutes of continuous which is WAY WAY more than the 15 minutes of flat out run I got from my Shark. All in all this is a very nice machine. Is it worth the $500 price tag? Time will tell, but for now I can live with the one or 2 complaints so long as it keeps the joint nice.

I have two cats that constantly shed and track litter absolutely everywhere, so have a strong vacuum that's easy to grab and vac pretty much daily is very important to me. The main vacuum in my house is a whole house vacuum system, which works great, but I loathe having to lug the hose out for every little thing. This Dyson V10 Konical sits neatly on my wall and is ready to go when I need it, with a power that's pretty comparable to that of my whole house vac! My favorite feature of this vacuum by far is the green "laser" light that illuminates all the dust and cat hair that I'm trying to vacuum up from my floor. I've had vacuums with a light before, but the laser-like green light is an absolute game changer! I saw stuff on my floor that had been completely invisible to me before! Those little sharp, painful nail shards left behind after I clip the cats nails? Instantly illuminated! Fine cat hair that usually blends in stands out for easy, more complete cleaning. The suction has been great in all three modes. I recommend using the middle speed for optimal results. The high suction mode drains the battery pretty quickly, while lower speeds are usually pretty sufficient, and they'll give you a longer cleaning time. Also, a big plus for this vacuum is that the battery is replaceable! I've had similar vacuums in the past with an integrated battery that I was really sad to have to throw away the entire vacuum once the battery died. This battery is kind of like the ones I have for my power tools- it clips in and is replaceable, as well as able to charge while not attached to the vacuum. If you're worried about running out of power when you're cleaning a large area, you can even keep a spare battery and switch out in the middle of cleaning instead of having to stop and wait for your battery to charge to finish the job. Emptying the dust bin is really easy once you get the hang of it. There's a little red lever that you pull up while holding the vac over the trash can. When you pull it right (I wasn't pulling hard enough the first couple of times), the trapdoor opens and the inner parts of the vacuum pull up to allow the dirt and hair to fall neatly in the trash. Easy, and minimal contact with the dust and allergens that I was tyring to stay away from! I really like the wall mount that holds/charges the vacuum, but with one caveat. It's easy to install and keeps my vacuum conveniently stored and charged for whenever I need it, which I love. It's also compact and aesthetically pleasing. The only thing that really irks me is the fact that the way the accessory holder is designed, you can't have the both the wand and the sofa brush tool on the dock at the same time. I really can't fathom how something so well-designed doesn't give sufficient space to store all of the accessories- you either have to keep the tool on the vac and switch out every time you use it, or keep the tool in a drawer/cabinet where it will likely get lost eventually. I did a little digging online and found that this is a common gripe with Dyson, and there are third party accessories to increase the number of accessory slots, so I will likely get one of those to solve this problem. That issue isn't enough to negate the fact that this is a really good vacuum. Overall, I love how it works, and I have seen a difference in my floors since I started using it. It's a bit on the pricey side, but pretty standard for a Dyson, so definitley worth it! Highly recommend!

I've used this vacuum everywhere in my house over the last few days, and my experience has been good overall. It wasn't difficult to assemble, it's light and easy to push around, and I actually found the green light really helpful during use — I could see debris perfectly without needing to turn on overhead lights. It was nice not having to worry about cable management. It did great with super long hair, and it even sucked up big clumps of hair without any tangling. The chamber was easy to empty and it quite forcibly ejects the dirt out the bottom, so you don't have to stick your hand in there to get any stuck hair. So far, so good. However, there were flaws as well. The suction was not particularly impressive. It was fine, but I used normal mode on our wooden floors (I wish I could have done eco), and I needed turbo mode for air purifier filters. We don't have carpet at home, but I don't think this would do a good job on it. A wall mount was included and I was disappointed in it — we rent and I can't drill holes into the wall. I would have much preferred a mount you could just stand on the ground. You do seem to need a mount to a degree, as the vacuum won't stand up on its own. Right now we either awkwardly rest it on its side or disassemble it so the hose will stand up. My biggest problem is that the battery life just isn't very good. It lasted me one thorough and maybe two quick cleaning sessions. Our home isn't even very big — I'm only doing about three medium-sized rooms. I didn't time it, but I think I got a little over half an hour of life. Then you need four hours to fully charge the battery. Overall, I believe this is a good product, but it's really not worth the $500 price. I think it could only work as a primary vacuum for basically a studio. It will work for me as a supplemental vacuum to the robot one we already own, but I'd be disappointed if I paid $500 for this and it was dying on me at the tail end of cleaning. Our robot vacuum cost less than half the price, and that cleans on its own for two hours, and goes back to its charging station to charge itself.

I am thrilled with this Dyson V10 Konical Cordless Vacuum! I haven't owned a cordless vacuum before, so my comparison points are traditional standing vacuums (my most recent being a Shark). I can't believe how lightweight this Dyson is! I am used to getting sweaty while vacuuming and having to exert a lot of force to push and pull it - I did not break a sweat at all using this, even after the ~30 minute increments I've been doing. It's also almost effortless to maneuver; the "joint" near the vacuum head rotates so smoothly, and you can angle it super easily. It is low-profile enough to fit well underneath pretty small spaces, like under a bed or couch. It does need to be emptied much more frequently (for my house, I need to empty after each use) but the emptying process could not be easier (see my video). Generally speaking, everything about this vacuum could not be easier. All you have to do is snap the three pieces together (creating an audible "click" each time), make sure it is charged, vacuum your heart out, and empty the container. It seems pretty durable, too -- I have not yet attached the wall mount, and learned the hard way that it makes much more sense to detach just the handle/motor portion of the vacuum to charge by itself, rather than trying to lean the whole assembled vacuum against a wall to charge; the whole vacuum fell over twice when I was trying to charge it, onto a hard wood floor, but did not appear to sustain any damage and kept working perfectly, thank goodness. But please learn from my mistake lol, and if you aren't immediately using the wall mount, detach the top portion of the vacuum to charge by itself! I love that it works on both carpet and hard floors! It does appear to be a little more immediately effective on carpet which makes sense, but it works great on hard floors, too (wood, in my case) - you just have to go over the same section twice or possibly 3 times max instead of generally once or maybe 2 times max on carpet. When moving from hard floor to carpet, it does not seamlessly deal with that transition - you will have to lift the vacuum up. But again, it is so light that this is not hard at all to do. I love the light that lights up the portion in the path of the vacuum. It is horrifying to see all the debris that is revealed on a seemingly clean enough floor, and it is so satisfying to see it all get sucked up. I'm so satisfied with this vacuum and will be recommending it to everyone I know!

Swapping out my old Dyson for this one happened fast, mostly because the previous vacuum finally gave up mid vacuum session and I had zero patience left for round two. The green laser on the front of the cleaner head is the detail that caught me off guard the most. I did not expect a vacuum to have a light show, but it shines right down onto the floor and lights up every strand of cat hair I normally miss, especially on the darker rugs where fur just hides like it pays rent there. My cat is not a fan, she gives it the side eye and trots off whenever I turn it on, but that is a small price for finally seeing the mess instead of guessing where it is. Battery life has been the other win for me. Sixty minutes sounds like a lot on paper, and in real daily use it holds up well enough that I am not stopping mid clean to recharge, which used to be a constant annoyance with the old unit. Suction feels strong across the floors I have run it on, and switching between the power modes is simple enough that I am not fumbling with buttons while trying to keep an eye on everything else going on in the house. It is lighter than I expected to carry around too. The laser is the flashy part, sure, but the fact that the battery actually keeps up is what makes this one earn a permanent spot by the door instead of getting shoved in a closet.
