Vacuum is defective. The suction attachment does not connect to any of the wand attachments. This company makes it almost impossible to return items. Not only do we have to pay the shipping cost on this ginormous package, but we also may only receive a 50% refund…??? What kind of customer service is this? If you are selling a refurbished product, you better make sure it’s in perfect working condition. Did they even test the vacuum with all of the attachments? This was not a cheap item and we were better off buying brand new from Dyson directly. With the cost of shipping, it’s almost not even worth returning. Basically just trash at this point. We love this machine! I can now va une the upstairs and the downstairs. Light weight yet powerful! Ours is 8 power our daughter has the 10 which is even more powerful?Well worth the money especially if you are older and cannot handle weight.

Finally broke down and bought a good vacuum. It has great suction and long battery life. I have owned this since Sept 2024. I like that the battery can be replaced if needed and parts are readily available. This is a result of buying name brand stuff that has been around a while. People are even improving it by making options using their 3D printers (like a trigger holder). I thought the head could have pivoted side to side a more easily as it is a little stiff compared to the China vacuum this replaced. This one I purchased was refurbished and it was missing some of the key attachments. The dyson approved reseller send me negotiated $ back so I could purchase the missing pieces directly from dyson. I was told by a friend who has one to keep the filters clean, so this is important. The top filter can be easily washed. I had to remove the beater brush and clean the area because it had built up with packed dust/dirt and stopped spinning. This was very easy to do. I will have to keep an eye on this. I recommend this vacuum at the approximate $400 price point I purchased it for. Like the title says, buy once, cry once. ... show more

Product was missing instructions. It has a cheap, light plastic feel. I was able to go on youtube to be sure I knew how to take apart and clean. It did suction well. After using it 3 times, it stopped working. Also beware!! If you want to return it— a standard offering from Amazon products, read carefully! While AMAZON offers plenty of time, the manufacturer does NOT. In fact, if you open the product, you will incur a substantial restocking fee AND it must be sent back within 2 weeks of purchase and this conflicts with what Amazon describes. So beware!
