    • Light weight, simple to put together and really sucks!
We 76 year olds were tired of the heavy Sears canister where the cord wouldn’t retract. This Dyson is lighter, the head is slimmer and fits more easily under appliances and it really sucks up dirt and dust. It was very easy to set up and simple to clean out the dirt bin. We’re very happy so far.

This machine has great suction. I have three dogs and you can imagine the hair I have to vacuum! It does a great job. I love it and very glad I bought it. This is my second Dyson and the old one lasted 20+ years.

Great vacuum. Powerful. Various end pieces. Doesn't roll easily against the carpet but it has great suction. The length of extension is excellent. Easy to empty.

I own the older smaller version...its over 10 years old and still going strong. So we'll, that I ordered this one for my parents because they are impressed with mine from 2014! Love it!

    • Good suction
My old Dyson upright stopped cleaning well so I decided to get this one. My daughter has the upright big ball and I don't care for the way it tilts when using. Well, this one has great suction however it is not easy to use on carpeting. The head is hard to move around (forward) but does have great suction pulling back. I find the wand a bit short (I am 5'5") so its a bit hard on my back. Need to get used to dragging something behind me instead of in front of me. Seems like a good workout after I'm done. The cord is much shorter than my old Dyson, which is annoying as I need to move the plug more often...can't really get two rooms done without moving the plug. Nice that long hair doesn't wrap around the roller head. Emptying it when done is messier than old one. After emptying the bin there is residual that doesn't empty so when I close it, more of the fine dust that didn't empty sort of splashes on my hands. The clasp to lock the bin is a little tricky. Would I buy it again? I am not sure. I do like how much it picks up but don't like dragging something behind me. It is a little tricky on throw rugs..Hoping I will get used to this because it isn't a cheap machine that I would use for a while and replace with something else. ... show more
