I just love this vacuum. The attachments are great, too. I have several dogs and it is great for pet hair, carpet, and flat flooring. My Pit Bull attacked this vacuum many times and didn't even phaze it. I was very rough on this vacuum and he's been a good soldier. I would say it lasted about 8 years before buying a second one, and it wasn't because the motor went out, a plastic clip holding the suction tube right behind the ball broke. ... show more

Best vacuum I have ever owned. Came with way more accessories than I thought I would get. And a bag to hold them all! Is easy to maneuver, I can vacuum the whole house in half the time! Compact enough to fit nicely in my closet, unlike by previous Kenmore cannister drag along vacuum (which still works awesome as well, just is a basement vacuum now). Not super loud either. Very easy to empty the cannister, also love being able to see what comes off the floors! I have two pets, a lab and a short haired cat, and I am confident I am getting as much hair from the carpets and floors as possible. The instructions for putting this together were absolutely terrible! Pictures but no word explanations which I hate. There was a number to call but it was not open on the weekends and that was when I needed to get the thing put together and get the house cleaned for expected visitors. I think I got most of it on properly, but after running it only once or twice, it started making a noise like something was stuck. It seems to be working but makes a different noise than when I first used it. It is a very heavy machine - much heavier than I am used to with the Sharp's. I can't really tell that it performs any better than the cheaper Sharps' either. A disappointing buy. I just hope it lasts longer than the Sharp's as they tend to die out pretty quickly. ... show more

I was excited to get this expensive highly rated vacuum. Unfortunately it shuts off after vacuuming 2 area rugs. I empty the container after one rug. This happens every time. After sitting for 30 minutes it will power back on. The safety off switch engages every time I use the machine. I will buy a Hoover $100. ... show more

I tried to buy a cheaper vacuum to save some money after my last Dyson gave up after many years of service. There was no comparison, so I returned it. There is a reason Dyson costs more. It’s worth it, especially with pets.
