GURLLLLL.... Let me pour some tea on this upgraded hoover. Love me some dyson products, with dogs my home is covered in fur. I needed something that could do a deep clean and had tried several pet vacuums that were lackluster until this bad boy. This thing will suck the quils off of a porcupine.     • Some Improvements to Older Model
My 18 year-old Dyson is on the way out so replaced it with Animal 3 during Deal Days. Less bulky/heavy (though the canister plastic is thinner), improved roller size and functionality, easy maneuverability, easier access to the filter inside the ball, same dependable/reliable pickup, adjusting for different surfaces. The electrical cord is also wayyyy longer than old model's cord. Didn't hold out much hope for the window blinds attachment but it actually does the job.     • Not bad for a starter kit
Good sucking function, but its hard to clean out. I got it because I have animals and am constantly cleaning their hair up. The hose attachment is a little stiff& moves the entire vacuum when I try to use it. Worth what I paid, pretty good vacuum.

    • Don’t waste your money
This vacuum is horrible. For the price I paid I am very disappointed. I have had two other dysons before and worked great for about 15 years. Cons: top heavy so it falls down all the time. When you tilt it on its back wheels to move it, it just keep flipping down and when you go to put it away it just tips over. The lock mechanism to keep it upright is so sensitive. It has a hard time picking up little things in the carpet. Just pushes them around. It’s great at dust and hair though. I think my biggest issue that I curse every time I vacuum is the hose. It’s only great for reaching up high but if you are vacuuming along baseboard or cracks or cleaning up a pile the hose plastic part is so long that when you try to use it below your waist it just kinks the hose and looses suction power. You can detach the long plastic piece but then you have to bend really low or squat to even reach the floor. Other Dyson did not have this issue. Also, it is soo loud. Loudest vacuum I have ever used. Overall it is just a cheap plastic, not well designed, over priced vacuum. Never again will I buy a Dyson. ... show more

Absolutely love this vacuum! I had a Kirby and it was heavy and a pain to use the hose. This Dyson is perfect and everything is easy to use. Love the canister as opposed to a bag. Buy it! You won’t regret it!

This is my second Animal vacuum. We sold a second home and purchasers wanted my first included with the sale. Easy to assemble, fast delivery, great price. The first vacuum with this reflected how superior Dyson's are to other vacuums
