  • Very pleased with this set!
I wanted a set with a large pasta pot and a large sauté pan. I first tried a Viking set from Sam’s club, but it was terrible. The pasta pot took forever to heat, and the metal bottom of a pan corroded and started to flake after the first use. Turns out it was 18/8 stainless steel, and didn’t hold up well to anything acidic. I decided to give this set a try, and what a difference! The 18/10 steel is holding up great, and everything heats quickly and easily. I saw complaints about things sticking, but this set has actually has less stocking and is easier to clean than my old stainless steel set that I’ve been using for years. The sizes are perfect for my needs, the handles stay nice and cool, the lids are vented for less rattling, and the rolled edges pour nicely. I waited several weeks to review, so that I could get a good feel for the cookware, and I can now say that I’m very pleased with this set! ... show more

  • Looks new after mulitiple use, super easy to clean
I've always been a fan of stainless steel over non stick cookware because of the durability and easy to clean property. This product I bought for my new place is no different. I can use any type of cleaning scrubbers, no worry of scratching the material. I know this because I've grown where non stick pans were not readily available . Some great features of this cookware set are: - Measuring lines are great and accurate. - The handles are sturdy and comfortable. - They stack nicely in the pan drawer too. Ergonomically designed small holes in the back of pan and forks/spoons making it easy to hang on the wall. - I use less oil, food doesn’t stick and super easy to wash them after - feels healthier. - Another great feature is that all the pans stack together nice and sleek! Easy to store this many pans in my cabinets. - They are heavy duty, and look beautiful - that shiny looks!! - Most importantly, food cooked in stainless steel cookware takes me to my childhood, my mom's kitchen. ... show more

  • I'm on the fence with these pans....
We like these pans and the whole kit comes with a lot of stuff. The pans feel fairly solid, a little lacking in the handle but the pans themselves seem pretty good. Season these things properly and maintain them the way you are supposed to and they are easy to use. I found a few small flaws in the surfaces of a few, but that really doesn't bother me that much. I think you'll find that to be the case in most pans that are going to be affordable for the normal home use. People seem to be interested in where pans these days are made as well, and no these are not made in the US from what I could find. I believe they are in fact made in China...so there's that if that's something you are concerned about. My complaint is that these pans don't really seem to be of much better quality than cheaper big name brands with similar specs. I thought that spending the extra money would result in a better feeling pan quality-wise. But that does not seem to be the case here. All in all though, these are not bad pans, they're decent and average quality. Like I said, season them properly and maintain them and you shouldn't have any issues with scarring, warping and whatnot. ... show more

  • Chef Quality Set
From the moment I unboxed this set I was in love. It comes with absolutely everything you need. The extra tools that the set comes with are a definite plus. The set was so pretty I didn't want to cook with them. But now that I have used them I love it. Not only were they nice to look at, they are well built and sturdy. I have always used nonstick and was afraid to switch to stainless steel, but now that I have, I'm extremely glad I did. Just make sure you research how to cook with stainless steel if you are new to it. If you respect the stainless steel, it will be very good for you. I highly recommend this set. If you are looking to spend a little more for a good set, but don't want to spend too much, this set is great for the value and you will feel like you are cooking on a set that cost $1500. Definitely buy if you are having a hard time deciding. You won't regret it. ... show more

  • Excellent set! Very solid.
I am very pleased with this set. I was a little surprised they sent along the utensils they Do Not recommend using (metal) with this set. So, they are of little value after I read the care instructions. Go figure! I’m hoping they hold up. I have noticed a significant amount of heat transfer to the handle and the lids. Use caution when handling. I like to make dishes that simmer for hours. I always use a deflector plate on my gas range but the overall heat distribution was good….no scorching or sticking. ... show more

  • Induction cooktop with small pan problem.
UPDATE: oops my bad. For my cooking school I have been trying to get the right equipment, "Don't blame the worker if he doesn't have good tools" After I tested the DUXTOP small sauce pan, which boiled excessively at temp less then 190 deg on the temp indicator, I put the pans in the closet. I ordered a Cusinart 1 .5 quart sauce pan; same result as the DUXTOP. Next I ordered the expensive ALL-CLAD 1 quart sauce pan. Same result on my NuWave induction heater. I did not get this result on the 8" or 10" fry pans which I tested earlier. I am guessing the NUWAVE heater has circular coils (each successively larger) and the small pan only interacts with the smallest coil. This causes localized heating, which means it is hotter over the single coil, which means it is boiling at this narrow ring. I observed this when just boiling water in the sauce pan. The 8" or larger pan gets two coils. So, For me and my students, we turn the temp down to about 160 and let it simmer longer. It might be possible to design a 1 quart pan with a thicker bottom to reduce the concentration of the heat, but this might cost more and would be less responsive to temperature changes and longer to heat up. When we are simmering a chocolate sauce, however, temperature is critical. or use a bigger pan. Summary: DUXTOP is good product. I am taking the DUXTOP pans back out of the closet. ... show more

  • Wonderful Cookware
I love this cookware! It’s just the perfect weight, and finish, and is easy to clean. The glass lids are nice to see what’s going on in the pot. If you love to cook these are the perfect partner.
