I had to replace the original brine tank since the previous owner apparently never cleaned the tank. There was 14 inches of salt block in the bottom of the tank which interfered with the float assembly operation. Easiest thing to do was replace the entire thing. Purchased this to replace the tank on my Fleck 5600. First thing I noticed is it does not come with a platform to keep the salt off of the tank bottom. Second thing is it has a float arrangement that allows the brine level to rise almost to the overflow. My old unit kept the level under the salt. Needed the tank now so installed it but not pleased especially considering the price. ... show more
