    • Good Except For Charging Flaw
I purchased this device to take to work with me to clean the air around me as we don’t get much fresh air in my workspace and to benefit from negative ions. I like that I can charge it at home and it will last all day without me having to use their equipment for safety reasons as well as portability if I move stations. I use this along with a portable HEPA air purifier. I do not notice any bothersome smells from the device. My only issue with the ionMi, is that when I go to charge it, sometimes the blue light does not come on. I thought maybe it was broken and no longer would charge but then I waited a bit and tried it again and it is charging fine. So, it is iffy when it comes to charging it and some other reviews say it stops charging after awhile which for the price is going to be very disappointing. It’s a bit of an inconvenience and frustrating now when it acts up since I have not even had it 30 days yet. I do not use the included strap but it’s a nice option to have if I ever want to. Another tip, if you charge it with a wall outlet as I do, get yourself an Amazon Basics USB extension cord with with a male and female end so you can set the device on the counter while you are charging it. By the way, the cord is not the issue with the charging problem I am having because I tested it by just plugging the device right into it without the cord and I even tried different sockets, different wall adapters, etc. and also tried charging different devices which all charged fine. I am hoping that the device continues to work for a long time as I love the portability of it. I was first interested in the ion box but did not want to have to always have it plugged it because I move work stations so much, some places may be inconvenient for that. I hope this review helps. I just wanted to warn others of the potential charging flaw, but other than that, it is a wonderful device! ... show more

    • Fine but not great
After reading the reviews, I have expected this device to have a strong output of ions to protect myself from the Wuhan Coronavirus. I am somewhat disappointed that its output is no where near the strength of a Wein (Air Supply) wearable ionizer. However to be fair, many ionizers on the market are even weaker. So its performance is fine, but just fall short of my expectation. Judging from the wrist strap that come with this device, I have expected it to be a bulky device. It turns out this is a compact device, bigger than the wearable ionizers but not by too much. It could be powered by its built-in battery, or directly from a USB port. The design of its USB connector is nice: swing out for direct connection to a USB-A port without the need for a connection cable, swing in for out-of-way storage. The design of its power button is somewhat annoying. It is a small black dot resided within one of its many hexagonal shape holes. The rationale behind the stealth design is hard to comprehend. The operation of the power button is also somewhat mysterious at first. It turns out that the power is always on when connected to a USB power source. It is only when disconnected that the power button comes into play: press once for power on, press the second time for power-saving mode, press the third time for extreme-power-saving mode, press the fourth time for power off, then the cycle repeat again. The other annoying things about this device are the words "NO/OFF" printed on a face near the power button: (1) Not being on the same face as the power button is not ideal, (2) The words would be upside down when the device is placed in the correct orientation, (3) There is no mentioning of the various power modes, (4) It is hard to believed that these simple words could be misspelled.     • Defentily makes a difference
There is a lot of information on the benefits of a negative ion generator out there for anyone that does the research. This particular generator is nicely made. It is small, but runs continuously and lasts a very long time on a charge. The effects of it are subtle but positive for anyone that is aware of how they feel on daily basis. I have noticed a more consistent positive mood, more vivid dreaming and a general sense of well-being. I have only been using it for a few weeks, but at this time, I am very pleased with it and feel the $50 was a good investment. Anything to makes us feel better without medications gets five stars from me. I would tell anyone that is with a try. I also like to say, and not to personally be promoting Amazon, but in this day of shopping online, using Amazon is fool proof, easy and efficient. Looking at reviews of each product is a valuable part of a each listing, making the right choice, easy returns along with an excellent working website that few can match.     • Loving the new ionMi unit (From a longtime user of the ionbox 20m)
I've been a ionbox 20m user for a few years now and when I saw that this new portable unit came out I had to give it a try. So far, I am loving it! I have been using the ionMi on my commutes to work. Because of the ionMi, my car is fresher and I feel better. I discovered about negative ions a few years ago and have been an advocate for their benefits... been telling all my friends and family about them ever since! I like the ionMi because of its small size. I can wear it around my neck and feel the negative ions near my face. When I don't want to wear it on my neck I simply just place it in my pocket. The battery life of the unit can last up to 14 days depending on what power setting you use. It only takes a couple hours to power to full, so I really don't need to worry about it running out of power. In conclusion, if you are a fan of the ionbox 20m, definitely check out the ionMi!
