Have this in a basement bedroom currently, the room was getting very cold at night. Was reading other reviews and this seemed like it had a pretty good set of feedback so gave it a shot even though it was a bit more expensive compared to some other similar options available. It's pretty small, but if you run it with the oscillating feature for about 20-30 minutes you really can tell the temperature difference between rooms as you walk in. I doubt it will make as much of a difference in a significantly larger room (I have a basement rec room for instance that is quite large and I doubt this unit could do that as well outside of a small section of the room while it runs), but for a bedroom it works pretty well so far. As for sound, it's not silent. It definitely sounds like a fan is blowing, but it is not overly loud either - would say it's on the quieter end of running fan sounds, however you will hear it. The timer being on hourly intervals between 1 and 12 hours, instead of maybe half-hour intervals is maybe my only wishlist item that I hoped would be different. The remote is pretty handy to have, simple and works - that's all you need anyway. Overall, pretty satisfied with this so far in the first week of using it and hopefully that stays the same for a long time to come. ... show more

    • Nice little heater... but misleading listing because if you order Black you will get Silver.

After seeing reviewers' photos of the all-black Atom One (which has a clean, minimalist look that doesn't scream "space heater"), I selected "Black." However, I received Silver, which has a silver front grille piece (as shown in the listing photo), and returned it for this reason. Amazon says they should have shown "Black" as unavailable; that was several days ago, and as of today (7/11/23), "Black" is still select-able. Dreo says the all-black Atom One unit is currently out of stock. Perhaps they're trying to unload the Silver stock before offering Black again; if so, I won't be helping: They took my info to let me know if Black becomes available. Before sending the heater back to Amazon, I did use it a few times, though I think I got a previously returned item: It had light surface scratches; also, the base felt somewhat loose and was off-center out of the box. Although the unit doesn't provide "instant" heat (being ceramic), it does a good job of warming a small space. I wanted it mostly for the optional luxury of heating the bathroom while showering. Of course, using a space heater in a bathroom presents a safety risk anyway because heaters draw considerable power, and moisture is conductive; however, plugging the heater into an outlet with surge protection, running it on low, and leaving it on the floor (where less moisture accumulates than, say, on the counter or shelf) is relatively safe. I appreciate that the "dust filter" on the back is removable for cleaning, though this piece is chintzy, cheap plastic and was a bit of a struggle to put back on tightly; it felt like it might break. Overall, this compact heater has a sleek look and is a fair value (for the sale price of $40.36, anyway) given its features. However, I'd have no need for a remote control or the oscillation feature and would prefer to pay less for a version without those features. And only available options should be select-able. ... show more

    • UPDATE!! FAN & HEATER?!? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! A MILLION STARS 🤩

Are you kidding me?! I know you're hesitant to buy this heater but listen this is the heater you have been looking for. What else do you need? It has a remote, it shuts off once it reaches the temperature of the room that you set it to, it heats up fast, it heats the room fast, easy to carry, and it's not loud. I just had to come and write this review and I realized that it has a filter! I haven't taken it out yet but seriously just get it! I do have to add this though the buttons on the remote are a bit hard to see at night. It's not a big deal for me but just wanted to point that out UPDATE!! IF I COULD GIVE IT A MILLION STARS I WOULD! IDK WHY THIS HEATER DOESN'T HAVE 5 STARS! I JUST REALIZED THAT IT HAS A FAN!! I MEAN LIKE A COOLING FAN! I couldn't figure out why I kept feeling cold air and I thought the heater wasn't working anymore but NOPE! IT HAS A FAN! UGH stop looking around and just buy it! ... show more

This amazingly small but powerful little heater makes my large apartment bedroom toasty in no time and does it remotely! No longer must I travel across the room to adjust the wall unit. Unfortunately, its small BLACK remote control device has GRAY symbols which make its buttons VERY difficult to see, but not worth a star. Hey, it’s not the heater’s fault! :-) NOTE TO MANUFACTURERS: Speaking of the little black remote control with dark gray symbols you can hardly see—it needs serious improvement. I didn’t want to ding you a star for this unbelievable failure because the heater definitely is a 5-star product. But come on guys, gray symbols on a black background? What were you thinking? Please fix/improve the remote control device for your wonderful little heater. It really is completely unacceptable unless the user has 20/20 and a flashlight! Making it backlit like my TV’s remote when it’s moved/picked up likely would be too expensive, but wouldn’t that be great!?! Please? :-) ... show more
