One week review. I bought it because a friend recently came to Houston and is staying in my apartment for a while. I have cats and there is fur everywhere. He has a Dreame at his own home, so I got this US version. Mapping is fast. I dont need to manually correct the map as it will calibrate during working. It can mark where pet is and its odd. The suction is really strong. I used my carpet cleaner before running this and thought the carpet was already pretty clean. But it still picked up a lot of cat hair and fine dust. Kind of surprised how much was still inside the carpet. Battery is durable; my units is 1b1b, it can clean twice once it's fully charged. I also had a cheaper $200+ robot before and it always got stuck on the cord from my air purifier. Super annoying. This one has been much better. It sees the cord and other stuff on the floor and usually just goes around it. I don't have to rescue it all the time. So i feel this high price is fine I dont know if it would be cheaper in Black Friday. It knows when it is on carpet or hard floor too. The app is well designed and pretty cool. It can recognize my pets and I can use the camera to check where my cats are when I'm working.

I have been an owner/user of robot vacs for years. I have a large house and usually have two robots in action each day. I have been a long time fan of Roombas in the past but this new Dreame L50 Ultra machine blows everything away that I have owned and tried. I mentioned that I have a large house. My house also has a lot of furniture, obstacles, and pets. Some of the obstacles are in hallways and there are lots of chairs like bar stools, and dining room chairs. I was skeptical that the Dreame L50 would be able to do a decent job but decided to give it a try. Wow! Call me impressed. I received it last night, downloaded the app, got it connected, filled with water and cleaner, and let it charge. Using the app, I set a schedule to run every night (after we go to bed). The robot successfully mapped AND cleaned (mopping and vacuuming) the entire floor space that it could reach on the first go. The "Clean genius" (Dreame's AI) was awesome, sensing dirty high traffic areas and applying the proper cleaning methods to make everything spotless. When we got up in the morning and inspected the floors, my wife commented that the floors were sparkling clean (and she is not easily impressed). Setup of the machine and equipment was extremely easy and fast. I had the entire thing unboxed, on the base, filled with water and cleaner, and connected to the app in about 30 minutes. I found the app easy to navigate and understand and extremely responsive. Every time I made a choice in the app, the robot almost instantly gave an audible response confirming the choice. This was also true during connection to the wifi through the app as well. The app walks you through the connection process and it worked flawlessly with no ambiguity or guess work. It also connected almost instantly. The clean and dirty water reservoirs are super easy to access and fill/empty as well. Cleanser filling was equally easy. This machine was extremely well designed and engineered (I am an aerospace engineer btw). Everything went together smoothly and I did not have a single issue with any part of the setup. Simply awesome. When I emptied the dirty water the next day I was surprised at how dirty the water was. We have the vac set up to vacuum and mop every day and will keep it that way until we start getting mostly clean waste water. At that point we plan to decrease the mopping frequency. I can't say enough about how well this machine works. Well worth the (admittedly) high price we paid. The Dreame L50 ultra has my highest recommendation.

I’m really impressed with the Dreame L60 Pro Ultra. The suction is powerful, and it does a great job picking up dust, crumbs, and everyday debris. The mopping performance is also excellent, and I love that the base station handles so much of the cleaning and maintenance automatically. It navigates around furniture and obstacles very well and makes keeping the floors clean much easier. The app is easy to use, and the overall design feels premium. A great choice if you want a powerful, convenient, and low-maintenance robot vacuum!

TLDR: Great for households with just adults and maybe a small child. I think this would struggle with a house with pets that shed. I would recommend this for anyone though; if you have kids/shedding creatures, you will just have to do more maintenance on it. I have had the Dreame L50 Ultra for over 2 months and I love him...I call him Herbie...yes he has a name, as he's like a little robot pet that cleans for you. I put him together myself and had hm up and running in about 20 minutes. I hooked him up to the app and off he went. Mapping: 10/10 First thing he does is map the house, which is very entertaining to watch. I followed him around for a bit like he was a toddler. He got very close to the stairs going to the lower level and he self adjusted, and didn't fall to his death. I use him on the main level of the house, which is about 2200sq ft and it took him a bit to do the whole thing. You can edit things over time if you want, and backup the map as well. Navigating the terrain: 6/10 After the mapping, I sent him forth to vacuum the downstairs. He navigated everything extremely well. Then we got a different table and chairs, and he didn't self adjust and got stuck underneath one of the chairs and we had to rescue him. He also has some sort of weird issue at the moment that if I tell him to go just solely mop my bathroom, he thinks he can't get there...I get the obstacle in the way' message, and he doesn't leave his little space in the pantry. If I set him to vac/mop combo or solely vacuum, he has no issue. I think this is something I am going to have to troubleshoot. Vacuuming: 9/10 I have zero pets or children at my lake house and usually there are only 2-3 adults here usually. He does a great job at small things, but you have to have him run the course at least twice to get it properly clean. My dark wood floor shows every spec of dirt/salt granule etc. If we have a lot of visible things on the floor, we run him across that area 3 times. My husband spilled a bit of rice on the carpet from a take out and he did a good job of picking that up, which I was impressed with. Note that he makes VACUUM TRACKS. They aren't always even if he's going around furniture, but you can tell when he's gone across the carpet. I think Herbie would struggle with my other house and the four dogs that live there. Mopping: 9/10 You can set him to do deeper cleans with extra water. The only way Herb mops properly is if you crank it up to almost the highest water output setting. It does a good job when the water level is set correctly. Is he as good as a real human cleaner...not quite, but he cleaned up a dried spill of tea on wood floor perfectly. He does a great job on flat surfaces. My bathroom floor is a marble herringbone (small rectangular pieces) and he doesn't do the greatest job around the shower floor drain, as it slopes, but it does a good job on the rest and the marble shines. Because we crank up the water usage, he needs his water chambers refilled and emptied every two to three washes. Battery life: 9/10 This guy can do the whole downstairs on one pass vacuum on one charge, or to do the combo vac/mop at the same time. Deep cleaning / 2x + cycles he needs to charge in between, which he will do on his own, and then he will resume cleaning. App: 8/10 The app that goes with it is mostly intuitive. There are some teething issues with the map editing, but that may be a me problem for not googling a solution yet. Note I am tech savvy, my job is in tech and I have built a computer and design apps, etc., so it should be intuitive without me having to Google it, hence the 8/10. Verdict: This is a great robot vacuum. I bought him because it was the number 1 on the Vacuum Wars website (they do extremely thorough reviews). My cleaner was weekly and had to stop due to an injury, Herbie was paid off in a month...I just wish he did windows.

I’ve had this for over a month now I have it vacuum my house twice per week, and on the weekend I have it do a full mop and VAC. Does a great job of hopping over the larger trim pieces on my floor, as well as sucking up the copious amounts of cat hair, my two indoor cats produce. I’ve been nothing but pleased with its performance. The app is a bit confusing and does take a good amount of experimenting and rifling around to fully understand and utilize to its full potential. That being said, most of the confusing parts of the app are not required, and you can use the automatic smart settings instead, which do produce good results. It is self emptying and I’m going on two months and have not needed to change the bag. The side brush and the filter are still in good shape as well. The suction power seems sufficient, I use it on standard suction almost all of the time, although there are three higher settings from there that I could use if needed. I have the option set for the vacuum to automatically increase suction on carpet as well as utilize the side brush on carpet and that has been a big improvement on its carpet performance. The vacuum seems pretty tough as it has been going around my house for almost 2 months now and really doesn’t have any signs of wear and tear. I have a smaller home and only use it on the upper floor, it usually finishes a regular vacuuming with about 70% battery life remaining, and on the big cleanup days with the VAC and mop usually finishes about 55% battery life remaining. May not be enough for larger homes, but it is smart enough to stop in the middle, go back to its station, charge back up, and finish a cleaning if your house is big enough to necessitate that, mind fortunately is plenty small enough to finish in less than one charge. Another great feature is you can set up automatic cleaning times and have them repeat so if you wanted it to vacuum every night or every other night you can do that. I have done that and it is kept my house nice and tidy. I just have to remember to open up doors to rooms and pick up cat toys off the floor before I go to bed. I let it run while I’m in bed and I have all the lights off in the house. It has a little flashlight that it can use to see where it’s going. It is smart enough that it does not need to bump into the walls like the old Roomba did. It does not bump into the walls very often.

I’ve been using this robot vacuum and mop for a while now, and honestly it exceeded my expectations. I rarely write reviews, but this one really deserves it. First, the design looks very premium. The white body with the metallic base station gives it a clean, modern look. It actually blends nicely with my home instead of looking like a cheap appliance. Build quality also feels solid and well-made. The cleaning performance is where it really stands out. The suction is extremely strong (it claims 19,500Pa), and in real use it easily picks up dust, hair, and even small debris. If you have long hair or pets, the dual brush system helps a lot with reducing tangles, which saves time on maintenance. The mopping function is also much better than basic robot mops. It’s not just dragging a wet cloth—it actually applies some pressure, so the floors come out noticeably cleaner without leaving streaks. It works especially well in high-traffic areas like the kitchen and living room. Obstacle avoidance is impressive too. It navigates around chair legs, cables, and other objects pretty smoothly. Compared to older models I’ve used, this one feels much smarter and rarely gets stuck. The auto-empty and self-cleaning features are a huge plus. After cleaning, it returns to the base station to empty dust automatically, and it can also clean the mop. This makes it almost fully hands-free, which is perfect if you want a low-maintenance setup. The app is user-friendly and gives you a lot of control. You can set cleaning zones, no-go areas, schedules, and different modes. Being able to start cleaning remotely before getting home is a really nice touch. Battery life is solid as well. It can handle a full cleaning session, and if it runs low, it goes back to recharge and then resumes where it left off. Overall, this is a great option if you: - Want to save time on daily cleaning - Have pets or deal with a lot of hair - Prefer a high-end, all-in-one cleaning solution It’s not cheap, but the performance and convenience definitely justify the price. We bought the Dreame L50 to replace our Roomba S9+ that recently failed. Our house is generally cluttered. We have two large German Shepherd dogs, one of which is part Husky and sheds excessively, thus we have fur balls floating here and there along our baseboards and in corners. We have Berber carpeting everywhere in the house except the kitchen and kitchen dining areas, which have vinyl flooring. The entry foyer has hardwood flooring. We have areas where there are lots of cords, empty Amazon boxes, and there are dog toys here and there around the house. Given that environment, the L50 mapped our house in about 15 minutes, vs 7 hours for the Roomba S9+. We mapped at night, so many of the rooms were dark. No problem, it used a headlight in our dark rooms. We were very impressed. It was easy to edit the maps, add, divide an rename rooms. You can add furniture to the map, but the selection is very limited. PROS Very fast mapping, nicely divides the map into rooms automatically. Easy to edit room names, merge rooms, etc. Reasonably fast charging. Quiet running. Runs in complete darkness using it's own headlight. This machine will run at night in complete darkness. Gives good voice feedback as to what it is doing back at the charge station CONS In my opinion, the terms and conditions you have to agree to in order to use the app are scary (read them.) Did not clean vinyl kitchen floors well, even after multiple successive runs. Random/unexpected behavior (see ISSUES below.) Did not detect when bin was full of dog hair. Long learning curve. ISSUES There is a large learning curve for the L50, so plan on spending some time with it, and being frustrated by random/unexpected behavior. In our opinion, the firmware/app does not have all of the bugs worked out of it yet After returning to the base to charge, the L50 resumed cleaning with the charge at 22%. L50 exhibits strange/random behavior when settings conflict. For example, if cleaning pads are set to remain in base when vacuuming only, but Custom Room setting is set to Vacuum and Wash (conflict), and room is carpeted. L50 wanders into room with pads attached, appears confused, then cleans a bit then goes back to base and washes the pads (even though it didn't use them.) Then drops the pads, exit the base, then goes back to the base and picks them up. Infinite loop. Reset Custom room setting to Vacuum only (remove conflict). Then the L50 works as expected. Another issue is Intelligent obstacle avoidance. Setting this feature causes the L50 to avoid things like cords and chairs that might entangle it. But it also may cause the L50 to not vacuum large areas of the room because of a rocking chair it perceives as a potential obstacle. There is no way to have the L50 ignore the rocking chair (which would not entangle it.) We found that the Clean Genius does not work as expected. Rather than use the Clean Genius, we found that for us, it is better to do a custom setting where you specify what needs to be done in each room (vacuum, wash), the intensity (e.g. standard, turbo, max), etc. The best thing is to just ignore the Clean Genius and use Custom settings. A couple of times, we found the L50 stalled in the middle of the room clogged with impacted dog hair and having to be manually emptied. The L50 did not detect it was full, or return to base and empty itself. Instead compacted with dog hair whether hair compaction setting was enabled or not. If you are cleaning a room for the first time and you have large dogs, you can plan on having to empty the bin manually until the excess dog hair is cleaned up. Disappointing it did not detect the bin was full of dog hair and empty itself. When I buy something like this, I always look to see if repair parts are available (like wheels, etc.). No parts availability. Also what is the cost of the brushes, pads, bags and cleaning fluids on the Dreame website? Excessively priced. Are there aftermarket parts/accessories available? Some - more reasonably priced. RATING Because of the multiple issues we observed, and the immature software/firmware and the price they want for this thing, I am giving it two stars. Nevertheless, it would be an amazing machine if it had the bugs worked out (plus one star.) Three stars.
