I have been looking for a black robot vacuum for some time now and finally pulled the trigger. I liked that this had a large storage tank, self empties and does both mopping and vacuuming. After using for a few days now it seems to do a really good job. You can map out where you want it to go and it does not get stuck all of the time like others I have used. It also holds a long charge which helps that it gets the entire surface before self docking and needing to recharge. Excited I went with this option and all of the spare pieces that also came with it!

Powerful Robot Vacuum that makes cleaning easy

I have been using the Dreame robot vacuum and have been impressed with how much cleaning it can handle on its own. The suction power is strong in performance and it does a great job picking up everyday dirt, dust or debris while the mopping system helps keep my hard floors clean. The extendable mop and ultrasonic carpet sensing make it more convenient when cleaning different floor surfaces. The self emptying feature and mop self cleaning are a huge time saver because there is much less maintenance between cleaning sessions. The connectivity is great with wifi and programming the robot using cellphone is very easy. You are able to set specific time and areas for cleaning or do it on demand. The battery life is more than enough to do my 1000 sq ft first floor which has combo of carpet and LVP.

BUYER BEWARE! $400 Vacuum Failed in 5 Months—Replaced With Defective Refurbished Junk!

⭐ 1 Star I initially LOVED this vacuum. It worked great—until it started falling apart less than FIVE MONTHS after activation! For nearly $400, I expected a product that would last considerably longer than that! I contacted Dreame customer service because a piece on the bottom of the vacuum had broken. Since the vacuum was still under its THREE-YEAR WARRANTY, I expected the company to stand behind its product and make things right. Boy, was I wrong! I was told I could send it in for repairs, which would take approximately 3–4 weeks. Apparently, Dreame thinks it’s perfectly reasonable for customers to go without an essential household appliance for nearly a month because their product couldn’t hold up to normal use. They eventually offered a refurbished replacement instead, assuring me it would be: * Certified to be in 90% like-new condition * Thoroughly inspected and tested to meet all performance standards * Covered under my existing warranty I agreed because I didn’t want to be without a vacuum for weeks and trusted their assurances. BIG MISTAKE! What did Dreame send me? What appears to be an OLDER VERSION of the same model, with a noticeably different housing—and to make matters worse, IT DOESN’T EVEN WORK PROPERLY! I’ve reset and remapped this replacement multiple times, and it STILL refuses to follow the cleaning instructions programmed in the app. It won’t properly clean individual rooms or follow the customized cleaning sequence I’ve selected. HOW DID THIS VACUUM PASS THEIR SUPPOSED QUALITY INSPECTION AND TESTING? So, let me get this straight. I purchased a BRAND-NEW vacuum for nearly $400. It started falling apart within five months. I went through the inconvenience of packing and shipping it back, only to receive an older-looking, refurbished vacuum that can’t even perform its basic functions! And customer service’s response? An email saying they “sincerely hope the replacement unit meets your expectations” and asking me to test it and contact them if there are problems. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I’ve already spent more time troubleshooting, resetting, remapping, emailing customer service, and dealing with this warranty claim than any customer should have to. What good is a THREE-YEAR WARRANTY if the company’s solution to a defective product is to send you another defective product? I’ve now requested that Dreame provide a brand-new replacement, a newer upgraded refurbished model that actually works, or a full refund. At the time of writing, I’m still waiting for a satisfactory resolution. BOTTOM LINE: I wanted to love this vacuum, and initially I did. But a nearly $400 appliance should NOT start falling apart within months, and customers should NOT have to jump through hoops only to receive a defective replacement. BUYER BEWARE! A fancy vacuum with impressive features means absolutely nothing if it doesn’t last and the warranty process leaves you worse off than when you started. I will update this review if Dreame actually stands behind its product and makes this right. Until then, I cannot recommend spending your hard-earned money on this vacuum.

Suspicious but impressed

I figured this thing is working about as good as you could possibly expect. Maps the house and you have a lot of ability to choose what rooms you want cleaned. How you want them cleaned, the level of cleanliness You want as far as suction, and how many passes it takes through the room. Sometimes it will get caught on a chord or a string hanging from the shades, but other than that, it's very good. You have to clean the sensors and the base and refill and dump out the clean and dirty water containers. And, change the mop pads, which you can buy extras Cheap on amazon washin the washerand reuse., well, I guess you can't expect to do everything. It vacuums and mops your whole house. And you can pick what rooms on what days and program it, So that it just systematically does your whole home. We use this to replace a robot vacuum. And I was suspicious about the mopping part, but our hardwood floors look amazing. Clearly it won't get really, really bad like stuck on gooey stuff. But it takes care of the day to day just fine.

Very nice vacuum, and floor mopping. I would not use it to clean up a big mess, but for the every day cleaning works great. We had an issue with ours with it starting to squeak, got a hold of the company and they are replacing it no charge.

Worth it! Cleans very well, better than my old Roomba. The auto mop is great, sometimes the mop heads come off if wires are left out but they areagnetic and pop back on easily. Easy to clean, maintain. I change the water bins one a week, running it 4 times a week.

Very helpful and convient

So, its been a few weeks. And I love this little cleaning companion! My floors havent looked this great in months, and on top of that i can have it pick up while i work at a touch of a few buttons. For refrence: I have a 150 lb dog that sheds constantly, and live in a house with mostly hardwood, tile, some lanoliam floors. Some rugs. A couple of small ramps and a few ledges from room to room. A lot of dirt and mud makes it into my home since we live in " the sticks" Heres what ive noticed: The robot is well equipt to handle obsticals and ressesions at thresholds after i helped map the house to help the robot identify lateral obsticals.... When i tested it without customizing maping it was getting stuck a lot easeir but now it doesnt seem to have much trouble. It does have some pretty impessive maping capability in real time too. This thing avoided a sock that got left behind like a champ and ive noticed the bot optimizes pathing for when its returning home or wherever its going next while its not cleaning. it does somewhat seem to struggle with rugs, but it picked up more debree than i expected with carpet. I recommend really looking at the app to schedual cleans, customizing your digital space. You can locate the robot with a glance and easily redirect it to clean a diffrent room, or have prefrences set for each space. Its maitence is a bit loud ( not easy to talk over ) so i wouldnt recomend it to be close by where you or someone else sleeps, or durring when you sleep/ dining table(active hours of use). Could just be my dog hair problem but that esspecially clogs the robot up but it handles human hair beautifully. This poor robot was set with a difficult task, i highly reccomend it for the price point and convience of the self cleaning feature.

Update 10/10/2026 (11 months later after purchase) it has had a series of problems from not washing the mops to not washing the bays to telling me one of the mop pads is dislodged. Customer service seems to be really good so far, but I expected something this expensive to continue to work at least past the first year without multiple issues. Dreame L40s Ultra CE has completely replaced manual vacuuming in my home. It creates a full laser map of your house the first time you set it up, without bumping around or needing to physically travel through every room. It quickly learns the entire floor plan and allows you to fully customize how everything is cleaned. The customization is excellent. You can select specific rooms and set each one to vacuum, mop, or both, along with adjusting suction strength, mop intensity, and water level. The “room mode” feature makes it very easy to control exactly how each space is cleaned. It’s also extremely smart around rugs and carpet. When it transitions onto carpeted areas, it automatically lifts the mop pads so nothing gets wet, then continues cleaning seamlessly on hard floors. At this point, all of these features might sound complicated, but the app is actually very user-friendly. When you first start using it, you can simply press a button to clean and it will handle everything for you, you don’t need to understand any of the settings right away. You can learn and customize things later, but out of the box it still just works. The self-cleaning dock is another standout feature.. it washes and dries the mop pads automatically, and you can fully customize the cycle. It can do my whole house for a few days before I have to refill the clean water and empty the dirty water and I’m talking about a big 4 bedroom house that’s all one level of tile and a few random rugs. Navigation is far superior to cheaper models I’ve owned. It never bumps into walls and moves through the house in a very controlled, efficient way. I haven’t manually vacuumed or mopped since getting it, and my home is consistently cleaner than when I did it myself. Even full price it’s worth it. When it comes to robot mop/vacs, you DO get what you pay for absolutely.
