Just got this in today. Well worth the money. I get it is hard to spend this much on a garden hose, but it’s worth it. Noticeably lighter than my Continental hose I purchased prior. Both great quality and made in USA which is huge to me. But this one is noticeably lighter and of great quality. Tried to kink it to swap hose nozzles and with two kinks it was still letting water pass which proves how hard it is to kink. Will highly recommend. ... show more

I like this Dramm hose, it is berry nice. I bought it because I wanted a quality hose that would stay flexible and not kink. It kinks. And I bought berry because my wife loves purple. Well apparently purple doesn’t go with our blue house. So about the kinking: yeah, it can kink, but - unlike plastic/vinyl/pvc i.e. non-rubber hoses - it doesn’t stay kinked or keep kinking in the same spot. If you visit their Dramm website they’ve got a Dramm hose video that shows how easily the Dramm hose kiinks when you don’t unroll it properly. Fair enough. Take a little care unrolling the Dramm hose and there won’t be any problems. Oh, and it doesn’t kink once there’s some water pressure in the hose. As for the color... Where can I get a good deal on exterior house paint? So why didn’t I give it 5 stars? Well I might have if it watered the trees and washed my car for me. Oh was that a serious question? Ok... it appears to be very well made with quality materials. On the flip side it’s a little on the heavy side. You know, like you’d expect from a quality product. This is the second hose I’ve bought from them. I bought one three years ago and it’s still going strong. They come with a warranty that I didn’t need to use. The hose is strong and doesn’t kink. I’ve used it with hot water, cold water and a power washer, it preformed beautifully. Would definitely recommend buying an expensive hose that lasts rather than buying a new cheap one every season. ... show more

I bought this hose because I was sick of replacing hoses every year, sick of how easily they kinked, and sick of nozzles getting stuck on cheap threads. This hose is the answer to my quest. We use this hose in our backyard garden. It is used by children (with reckless abandon) and adults alike for all manor of normal backyard chores. We are heavy users. It lays out in the California sun most days and all year. No special treatment and NO PROBLEMS! It is still purple, there are no cracks, the water tastes fine, and the threaded ends are still like new. This hose has outlasted many nozzles. Today I need an additional hose. I am buying this one again. Can it kink? Yes, but nothing like a traditional green hose. It is light? No, this is heavy duty and thick. This is why it doesn't easily kink. Does it require special care? No, we have done nothing to care for it and it serves us faithfully. Does it develop a memory to kinks? No, even after stored in the sun for days with an accidental kink, it goes away and does not come back - quite unlike a normal green hose! ... show more
