The wood lid is embossed with the words "Trash Can" in case somebody sees it on the floor in your bathroom and doesn't know what it is. I lined the rim of the plastic bin with thick tape to create more of a seal for the lid. I wish the lid would snap in instead of just sitting there.

I got my trash can and immediately put it to use. The right height, colors - perfect. I also proceeded to put the ring that holds the bag taut in backwards. The very first time I dumped my trash, I wasn't looking, and there goes the ring into the dumpster with the rest of the garbage. Doh! I soon realized how important that ring mattered. Haha! I contacted customer service, willing to pay for a spare ring, and they sent me (2) free of charge. I sincerely appreciate you. I've learned how to place the ring correctly in my trash bin.
