Lights work well. They're bright and LED so saves on the WATT usage. It's a nice warm light as well. Despite it falling off frequently, the end does have a cap. I like that to protect the end connection. It comes with some tie-wraps, which is nice and I used them all. It also came with one extra replacement bulb. My biggest complaints are: - The lights are spaced out further than traditional versions of these lights. Not by a lot but enough for me to notice and write here. So that has to count for something. - The beginning takes awhile to start the lights. So if you add to this, it'll take a long line of extra cord and will look a little silly. You also will need to get the same brand because it will be noticeable on the spacing between the bulbs if you get another set. - While it is a positive that it's a plastic bulb and won't shatter, it is plastic. The description says it will not fade/get cloudy but I've gotten lights like this before where they very-much fogged up and filled with water from the elements. Right now it's perfect but it's only been hanging outside in winter weather for about a week now. Only time will tell.

Let's be clear, they function well as string lights and that's what they purport to be, so no stars knocked off for that. I'm comparing to other units I already own, so "deficiencies" are only in comparison to more robust and expensive units. These are LED, the others are LED. The ones I already had: - "normal" light bulb bases with slightly smaller than normal bulbs, shaped like normal bulbs -The power cable is a fully jacketed affair (think outdoor extension cord) -Two spare bulbs per string I purchased. This unit: -candelabra base bulbs, globe shaped bulbs -Power cable is a two-wire job, not jacketed (think "interior extension cord") -one spare bulb included Nothing about this should say to you "omg, I can't use them outside". They are rated exterior, they can be daisy-chained (plug one into the next) there's even a dust/rain cover for the far end socket that should help keep it from getting dirt, water, bugs etc inside. My "better" units don't have that feature. If you're just starting out with string lights these are good so far. If you're trying to match exactly with the ones you already have, but another set of the ones you already have.

These soft-glow LED bulbs will add a nice touch to an evening outside setting whether it is a back yard, campsite or even a boat. Here's what I like: - The color is perfect for nighttime. - Each string at 50 feet will easily go around the edges of an easy-up or most awnings and can be daisy-chained if desired. - Each socket has a molded clip so the bulb can be clipped to the material of your awning, easy-up, or even along a clothesline... - 10 screw-in loop-hooks are provided for mounting on a deck, gazebo or other wooden structure. - A pair of extra bulbs are provided for spares. - Since the bulbs are plastic with the LED filament inside, there isn't as much worry over breakage. Some comments: - While I like the temperature of the light produced by these strings, I feel they should be softer by going with less lumens - just a bit bright. - The manufacturer notes they shouldn't be mounted for more that 90 days at a time - so you don't want to try and place them permanently. My guess is the bulbs will likely dull after long exposure to UV, and the weatherproofing isn't extraordinary. - A tote bag for storage would be nice. Overall, if you want to add some soft lighting to that nighttime setting, these can be your answer!

These are excellent for mood lighting. They aren't the highest quality, but they aren't bad. I've seen a lot worse. They use the green wire common for old Christmas lights. I can actually see them lasting for a few years. The plastic little round Edison-style bulbs are actually quite attractive and sturdy. They are a warm white color which isn't incredibly bright, but that's kind of the point. They look good. The length is outrageously long also. They send you a 2 pack of the 50-foot lines, but you can connect them for 100 feet of lights. They're easier to manage this way. They're easy to manage in general, since they are very lightweight and not prone to getting tangled. A little bit on the pricey side, though, or I would have given them 5-stars.

The media could not be loaded. These are a nice set of string lights. two 50 foot strands, 25 bulbs per, which it states up to 28 strands can be connected together. To me the light is a bit more white than warm. The set comes with zip ties and teacup hooks, and each individual light fixture has a hook for easy mounting as well. 2 spare bulbs are included in the event that one goes out. And although it says for patios, gardens, gazebos, etc., it also says that these are "For temporary (90 days max) installation and use only". So it seems that these are more for events such as weddings or get togethers, rather than long term installation around the house. Time will tell.
