This potty was a replacement for an old one that was cut into, re-plumbed and not working right. This one is higher, works like a charm and makes the entire RV bathroom look so much better. okay, I wound up tearing out the floors and redoing the deck and finish but that's not the fault of this potty! Now I have pre-finished hardwood floors in the RV bath. Swank! The Dometic bolted right down and with one plumbing hook up was "running" instantly! The two stage valve pedal really helps keep the water in the bowl, keeps the odors at bay and keeps the bowl clean. I am considering replacing the house toilets with this one.... I did have to cut up the old flange and have a new one on hand not included with this order but in the end it worked out really well. Very pleased with the results. ... show more

Looks really nice. The almond color is a perfect match with the sink. Took about 30 minutes to install. Water pressure is awesome. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the sound it makes when you set down and get up. Or for that matter move at all while setting on it. Sounds like it might break. Like plastic rubbing on plastic. Hopefully that won't happen. I hope it's stronger than it sounds. ... show more

Toilet constantly leaks water after 2 months of use, I remplace seals/water valve and still leaks and won’t hold water on the bowl. Somehow, this toilet retained urine within the cavity, where it became trapped and worsened over time, especially in the Texas heat. Additionally, the toilet’s plastic construction makes it less sturdy than expected, and it produces noticeable squeaking sounds, making it far from discreet. Given these issues, we planned to return it and invest in a higher-quality alternative. Update: Unfortunately, Dometic did not accept a return, wont make warranty valid, or help with solution, did not issue a refund, and repeatedly gave us conflicting information. Ultimately, we were left with no resolution and had to absorb the loss. ... show more

Do your homework. We replaced our travel trailer’s toilet that had a porcelain bowl, with this all plastic toilet. It flushes better, that’s for sure. But every single time you sit down on it, no matter how much your weigh, imagine sitting on a pile of empty plastic 2 liter bottles and the sound it would make. It’s super squeaky loud and sounds like it’ll break every single time you use it. There’s also a recall on the Dometic 300 series toilet that you should Google. We didn’t know this until after we installed this one. Apparently the seal has a small gap that allows pee to enter between the toilet and seal when you flush. After time, pee builds up and starts to evaporate. You’ll be smelling like a nursing home in no time. So, I’m a step ahead. I dilute my toilet with gel clings inside the bowl, have Mr Clean in a spray bottle handy and make sure I flush after every pee. Some people don’t. Good luck! ... show more
