  • This saved our weekend!
I like camping but trying to dash to the bathhouse in the middle of the night when its cold and raining is no picnic. My brother also has issues holding it when he wakes at night, several times he almost didn't make it to the bathhouse (I had a few close calls myself...we're getting old!). I had originally decided on one you use bags and powder with but realized how much extra steps that would be to do so I looked into this type. I looked for a long time and at several different ones. This one did not have many reviews but had everything I was looking for: height, level gauge, pressure release valve in a spot that made sense and pour spout that rotated. This absolutely saved my bro this past weekend, he admitted that if it weren't for this potty he probably wouldn't have made it to the bathhouse. I bought the Porta-Paks to go in it, it last ALMOST a full 3 day weekend with 3 people (2 adults, 1 9yo). The 2 adults only went pee in it but my nephew loved it so much he wanted to use it all the time lol If you got a bigger bum than it might be a bit difficult. I am 5'4 and 190lbs and had no difficulty really but your bum will be close once your done (my reason for only going pee lol). My bro is 6' and 300lbs but he never sat on it and used it only for pee and left the slide open to reduce splash. It's VERY sturdy, I had no issues at all. No smell or leakage. Easy to clean. We didn't use the sprayer this time. Be careful when dumping, the cap came off quickly and we lost the cap down the dump station (embarrassing!), but I contacted them and they were SUPER quick to respond and are graciously sending me a replacement (thank you so much!!!). Highly recommend, great product and fantastic customer service!! ... show more

  • Perfect portable toilet
Got this portable toilet for an upcoming trip in our rented van. Upon reviewing I like the bag it comes with, and the side sprayer. The height is OK for us at 5'6. The size isn't that bad for being portable. Hasn't leaked thankfully. I sort of fixed the sprayer (from hanging and leaking), by taking a 1/2 pvc cap and with a little sanding and glue fits perfectly on the water cap. I used portal pak to assist with the break down, works great and no bad smells. I suggest opening the gate when going #2 as how you sit goes right down the hole. There is some back splash when you open the valve, so close the lid prior to flushing. The holding tank it good size won't have to empty it daily, (I hope). The plunger works well and cleans the whole bowl. There is a pressure plug to release trapped air that should help back splash. To empty the black water is a bit difficult. Improvements... Could use another gripping point for ease of emptying. The clean water cap doesn't fit well, but well enough to not come off. None of which is real bad. I'm pleased so far with it. It will be taken on the next tent camping trip as well. ... show more

  • Great quality.
So far so good. The height is great. It makes it easy in the knees. Seems like it’ll hold up fine to the weight of a bigger person. Great for camping. It’s a whole lot easier than squatting.

  • Perfect for camping
I camp with 2 little boys so I can’t leave the tent to pee in the middle of the night. This is big enough to hold me and easy to clean and travel with. I only went pee in it over several days. Never smelled or leaked. Easy to ise

  • Where has this been all my life??
I use my squatty potty every weekend inside and outside of my van, for the last year. Best $ I've spent in a long time. I have stomach issues, so this has been great for traveling and not needing to find a clean enough gas station bathroom. I use Scott TP with the RV tablets that others recommend using in the reviews. That works pretty well with breaking down and not smelling. Emptying the tank isn't bad, as long as the TP broke down. Don't use paper towels. They will clog the waste tank pour drain. ... show more

  • I think all portable toilets will leak
I like that the size of the bowl seems deeper and elongated instead of a 10” round shallow bowl. The slide valve seems to have more to grab and tucks in nicely when stored. The piston pump seems more durable than others. The toilet hand sprayer didn’t work when I was testing the toilet set up in the shower with just water running through it. Maybe I had too much tubing in the tank and it floated instead of being under the surface of the water. I’ll try that again at a later date. The level indicator seemed to work letting me know that the bottom tank was near full. To empty the tank was easy. Unlatching the top from bottom and turning the orange spout to empty was fine. I did notice if you held the tank with the slide valve down it seemed to leak while emptying. Also noticed in the instructions it says to always press the vent button before opening the slide valve and to open the slide valve before use. The flush feature seems good with adequate bowl coverage. Again this is a toilet so use common sense and follow the instructions and it seems like there will be less to worry about. I plan to store this on a doggy pee pad in the tent camper in case I notice any leaks it will be adsorbed and can be cleaned up easily along with carrying disposable gloves and wet wipes when going to empty it out. I purchased a small diaper genie type item to dispose of wet wipes and toilet paper so that it won’t be going in the toilet. I think that will be much easier to clean out waste along with using the blue tank solution to break it down before dumping. I looked at so many different ones and reviews and it didn’t matter how many great reviews and stars they had there were still complaints that they leaked during different scenarios. I’m hoping this will work well for my tent camper. While testing it with just water set up in my shower at home it seemed to work great, I guess next camping season will be the true test. ... show more

  • Quality product
Quality is better than expected. I tested by filling the tanks up and letteng sit for 3 hours,in those 3 hours i did turn the unit on its side,no leaks. I then drained the holding tank. I used the hand flush pump to put 4 full pumps of water, then opened flushing valve. Repeated till empty to simiulate a #2. On a full tank, with 4 pumps, then flush i can do this 14 times till empty. Thats alot of #2s lol. I then refilled the tank, emptued holding tank and started over,i was able to get 58 pumps before the top tank was empty.....thats alot of #1s. After all that i filled just the top tank, pumped 8 pumps and let the bowl sit overnight with water.next morning water was still there. Sofar no leaks and a quality built unit for the price. ... show more

  • the seal is junk
We have been using this product for the last few months and the seal is already "NOT SEALING". The next, very important, complaint is the customer service and the web site is also junk. The cap for this item was lost so I have been trying to get assistance for obtaining a replacement and the results equal "BUPKIS". Do not bother with these guys. There are better companies out there. ... show more
