  • This toilet is awesome
This toilet nearly destroyed my marriage. Our old 1989 vintage toilet in our winnebago hit its last leg, so we ordered this one as a replacement. My husband, after watching half of a DIY video on YouTube declared that he could replace it in 15 minutes and save us the trouble of hiring a contractor to do it. After ripping the old toilet out (No really. It was destroyed in the process, there is a reason you shouldn't use metal fittings on water lines) my husband realized that our stinky, vintage dirt encrusted connecter piece would need to be turned. After all four bolts broke off in his hand from old age, and a trip to the hardware store, we managed to get it rotated. So we pop this beautiful fancy new toilet onto our base and attempt to connect the water lines and various hoses. But our existing hoses and lines are too short for this glorious plastic throne. Back to the hardware store for some PVC elbows! (Which ended up being the wrong size, so we go back again. ) My husband GLUES THE PVC pipe to the toilet and water line, screws this toilet down, and decides he is done. Now, you may think that he did indeed get all of this done in fifteen minutes. Nope. IT TOOK TWO DAYS for him to attatch our new throne. (And we live in our rig, so it was no small inconvenience) In the end, we found that gluing a PVC elbow is not a proper fix, and we had to rip up our flooring and hire a contractor to come and properly install our toilet for us. So the moral of this story is, this toilet is awesome, and definitly an upgrade from the 1989 model. And it's even better when someone else installs it for you. (But really, you can probably install it yourself if you have a moderate amount of plumbing know how, or know someone who does. It really is very easy to do if you know what you are doing) ... show more

  • A smooth operator!!
Bought this to replace an OEM Thetford with knife valve in a 2005 Casita. The knife/blade started sticking open and if you couldn't jiggle it closed, it required putting on a disposable glove and reaching in to unstick it. Easy enough, but not something you want to do over the longer haul. I shortened the stroke on the foot pedal for the short term. Another nag with the old one was it wouldn't allow water to be let in without opening the knife valve. I probably could have fixed the old one, but wanted a ball valve toilet, anyway. The fact that this was for a Casita might be significant because in 2005 they didn't use a regular closet flange. Instead, the closet seal was mounted in a heap of silicone and when the toilet was pressed in and fastened, everything cured up nicely with a tight seal. At least taking it apart, the mounting bolts didn't fall into the tank because they were held by the silicone. However the new toilet didn't match up and therefore wouldn't seat properly without rocking....A LOT!! The old closet seal wasn't going to come out without destroying it and the new one wasn't going to seal properly. Since the old seal was still flexible, used a bead of 3/8" round butyl tape on top of the old seal, trimmed the excess silicone height and this new toilet seated and sealed nicely. What should have been a 15 minute swap took much longer. Hole pattern is a perfect fit and I used washers under the nuts so the nuts weren't bearing directly on the plastic. Bowl on the new one seems a bit bigger. All told, a nice upgrade! ... show more

  • Worked perfectly, but it's VERY flimsy
This replaced my toilet perfectly. But, they used to make them with ceramic parts, and now they are entirely plastic. Didn't realize that until I got the toilet. The toilet I replaced was from 2010, so I guess I should have expected lowered quality. It will work perfectly until something tweaks a bit and breaks. Also, the toilet is supposed to be sat upon for showering in our tiny bathroom. The lid on this will likely break if we do so. :( I'm happy that it went in with no problems and that it fit, but pretty unhappy otherwise. ... show more

  • A Toilet For People With Large Bottoms
Not for slender people: the bowl is so wide I nearly fell in the first time I used it. The foot-flush is too far back and too tiny. Worst of all is the fresh water coming in when flushed just sprays in unlike most toilets that have a singular concentrated direction which creates a whirlpool and helps clean the bowl as they flush. ... show more

  • Great short toilet
It was too low which was my fault. I ordered a toilet riser for 2.5 more inches, but after installing it, the product was very wiggly and it didn't line up with my hose line. So had to put original toilet back in the camper. Seems like a great little toilet by itself though.

  • .
Well...I went against my better judgement and got the cheap one despite the reviews....my bad. This toiley is creaky like a boat against a dock and in NO time the seat is crooked. I read a review saying it was almost as if the bowl was supposed to stick. Yessssss. Oh....and I'm not a big nor a tiny person BUT (excuse the pun) the circumference of the seat is massive. The sitting part is thin and hard if you were tiny you would need a safety rope as not to fall in. Get the better one or regret this cheap one. ... show more
