I have a large woodshop as a side biz but don't have toilet facilities in the shop. So, I decided to try this product. Very easy to assemble, simple instructions, light weight unit. Had to do some googling to figure out what medium to use and how much to use but once I did that, it was a breeze. I do not have this vented to the outside and there is still no change in smell of my shop (still smells like a woodshop and not a latrine). Cleans easily. I have no reservations about getting one of these units for my hunting camp but just venting it outside. Fan can't be heard and draws almost no power. I replaced my camper toilet with this composting toilet and am extremely pleased with the choice. Almost no maintenance other than emptying the bucket and urine tank, which they have made pretty easy as well. Now, if only the bricks of coconut coir were easier to break apart. Came with a vent tube but I thought I would try without it first because I hate putting holes in the camper. Glad I waited. No vent tube was needed. It takes a very small DC power cord which was easy to patch in on another DC circuit. Only thing I would change is that I didn't remove the toilet flange in case I didn't like it and wanted to revert back. The OGO toilet has a solid bottom, so I had to build up a platform around the toilet flange. It sits just a little too high because I chose this during installation (not OGO's fault). Doing it over, I would remove the toilet flange so I don't have the added height on the toilet. This is very sturdy and much better than a standard RV toilet. I wish they would make some RV's and campers with factory installed composting toilets. Between this toilet and switching out the rooftop air conditioner to a mini split heat pump (efficient air and heat) has made my camper much better for me and more flexible. ... show more

Let's talk about the price. It's expensive. It really is, but so are all good compositing toilets. Here's why it's worth buying: EVERY single piece of this toilet can be bought off of their website. Meaning if a tiny piece of plastic breaks or a wire breaks, the whole toilet isn't trash. All of the optional things they offer are very useful too. This toilet keeps smell to a minimum. This works, but it is not designed at all for male parts. A real pain to use. You are better off taking a leak outside and good luck finding room for your "stuff" if you are a guy when going #2 🤣

The Ogo Composting Toilet is a wonderful product…! This is the most beautiful toilet I have ever seen. A perfect addition to my She-shack. I wish civilization would have developed with composting toilets instead of throwing sewage into rivers. How much cleaner it would have been. Making natural fertilizer is vital for nutrition and greenery. I would think composting waste would help the homeless situation in areas where it’s difficult to hook into sewer systems. Composting waste conserves water. It’s good for the environment. It could help save the planet. What a wonderful innovation. ... show more

I had a natures Head but it was too cumbersome to empty. That was my only problem. So I bought an OGO. I’m a little disappointed. It’s not as “ sturdy” as the Natures Head and certainly not as comfortable. It came with a plug for a vehicle but no adapter to plug into my tiny home, so I had to order a new one. They were charging $45 for and adapter for 110 system. I found one on Amazon for $19. So I can’t churn mine yet. The plug for the NH fits it but only operates the fan. The mechanism to open the solid section sticks and it’s hard to open and close. The urine jug I got is a solid grey…. I’d prefer to be able to see when it’s getting full. I’ve seen clear or opaque ones in their ads.🤷🏼♀️ I was really excited but honestly… I’m a bit let down. Makes me want to go back to flushing. ... show more

    • Love this Compost Toilet
THis is a great compost Toilet. Super easy to clean, setup and use. I would say the only thing I'd complain about is the comfort of the toilet itself to sit on. I can tell you its not one of those toilets your going to sit on for more than what you need to.
