I love these clippers! I have 2 cocker spaniel/poodle mixes that need to be groomed regularly. One has tight coarse curls and the other has softer looser waves, and it works well on both. My one dog had a bad experience at a groomer and has been scared of clippers for a while. But with these clippers she finally has calmed down, she actually fell asleep during the last groom! This my 3rd set of clippers, and these are by far the best! The noise level is so quiet, it doesn't scare them at all. The battery life lasted for both dogs, and still had over half the battery left. The low pricing makes this a great value for the money.

I got these clippers about 2 years ago. Right off the bat I noticed that the on off switch was quirky sometimes needing several tries to turn off or on. Also the readout would only come on momentarily when plugging in the charger. I decided to keep, however because those issues not withstanding, it was a good tool. The first year passed and I would use 3 or 4 times to shave my shaggy dog till she overgrew again. I would routinely charge prior to the one hour job. This year I noticed the charge would only last a half hour, requiring me to recharge to finish her. The last time I used it, it lasted about 10 minutes. It took me 7 days to get her finished. I've been watching the charge over the last few months and it doesn't stay charged, dying at about the 5 minute mark. Once I charged; switched on and this time the charge readout appeared and stay on while running. You could watch the % drop every few seconds and it got to zero just in a few minutes. I'm gonna try to contact the seller and see if they're maybe good guys and can provide a new better replacement battery. If they do I will revise this review. If not I do not recommend Holdog. It's a rechargeable battery and was not abused nor used too much. I'm also wondering if this was a return or refurb that they slipped in. **** I heard back within a few hours. They apologized and asked if they could replace. I agreed. They did say it might take a little bit, but I an impressed with their customer service. I will update when I receive the replacement. This make me very happy as this, minus the few problems is the best clippers I've ever owned and it's quiet and doesn't scare my dog. Kudo to Holdog Sevice Team. Top stars for immediate response. UPDATE. True to their word. I received a brand new one and it works perfectly. This is the kind of company I highly recommend. They were responsive and fulfill their promise. They get a 5 star PLUS review. These are the BEST clippers I've ever owned. I give their customer service 5 stars + as well. I am totally amazed at how quick and painlessly they responded. I can't give anymore kudos all around because this is a great company, product and seller staff. My best wishes to all evolved. I purchased this clipper set late October 2023. My cockapoo was a puppy then. I own Andis clippers I used for my large standard poodle but wanted something smaller/quieter for this new little girl. Her coat has developed more like a poodle so trimming curly is a little different. Some tangles & small matts. I keep her hair short. This trimmer works great! For over a year now I’ve used them about every 6 weeks for full trims & in between for face and feet. Poodle hair grows fast & hers does. I live in Colorado mountains with a large yard. She gets all types of weather & gets wet & dirty. Pine sap sometimes in paws. Loves to run & play. This trimmer has been really great. Easy to use holds charge well. I really appreciate how it doesn’t over heat & being cordless. It’s durable & combs work very well. Very lite. I’ve had no issues. Sadly now the blade is getting dull & I have to replace the whole device. Price is still great even at $7 more It’s been so handy I don’t know if I want to switch to my Andis clippers [used them 16 years] with the long cord. Andis are excellent too & easy to replace blade. I may spring for high cost of cordless.😀 I’m contacting seller to purchase just the device as I don’t need whole kit.

So far, so good. They are as described. The LED display is easy to read and provides the speed, percentage of charge you have left and lights up well. They came charged up well. I re-charged them after grooming my miniature poodle yesterday and they charged up rather quickly, that was nice. They didn't get hot during the groom and are quieter than our old clippers which were "high end" brand name clippers that didn't last long. They also felt good and easy to handle as you groom, the design is great. The clipper blades are sharp and did not pull during cutting. I feel these are worth the money, so far. I will update if anything changes but so far, I am happy with this purchase.

For the price you pay, I feel like I’m ripping them off. The quality of the clippers are so nice !!! I usually always groomed my own dogs but when I got my mini poodle, clippers never held up on those curls (even blown out straight) but when I started clipping those tight curls……….glided like it was butter. Holding it is easy not to bulky, the look of the black one I got was so sleek. I feel like I’m a professional when using them. In 15 minutes I can have her looking like she came from the groomers. Another thing that I loved was how quiet the clippers were. Normally flicking them on triggers my dog, and she gets seizures from stress so this is so important for me as a consumer I’m not stressing my dog in any circumstance; now she can actually relax and enjoy her time getting pampered. I say buy it, it’s definitely worth buying it for someone who doesn’t want to spend the money to get their pet professionally groomed.
