This pot is one of the most durable pots I have ever owned. It has a very sturdy structure. Since I usually cook at home, I love using durable pots like this, it makes cooking more enjoyable. Its capacity is sufficient to cook dinner for a family of four. Thanks to its nonstick base, I can easily prepare different types of dishes. The glass lid is firm, and the insulation level is excellent. I also must mention that the pot distributes heat evenly throughout.

I used to be a pastry chef with no formal cooking school but I have worked in professional kitchens long enough to know a thing or two about a thing or two. So I'm not here saying I'm a chef for real, but I can say my competency in the kitchen is way above average. One truth all the chefs I've ever worked with have told me is to not waist money on pans, spend all my money on knives. At least don't spend money on fancy pots and pans for commercial use since they go through them so fast it's not worth spending the money on. Professional chefs rarely cook when at home so they don't care what kind of pots and pans they have at home (again, my experience). But knives? They carry them everywhere. I've never bought expensive pots and pans before. I normally don't get the cheapest but I don't get expensive either. But man, I've always wanted to try Hexclad/Diamondclad, it looks so different and very cool so I jumped on the chance to get this. This is a different kind of pot, the coating has a texture I wasn't expecting. It does have a tendency to grab food in the texture but it scrapes/wipes right out as you stir or clean. The non-stick works amazing. I still cringe when anyone uses metal in any pan, but I've cringed less watching my daughter use metal tongs to serve herself pasta from this pot. This seems to have excellent heat distribution. I've had to actually turn my stove down to a lower setting than I'm used to while cooking the same thing I've cooked 1000 times on my stove (gas). So that's cool. A bit if an adjustment, but a happy one. The handles do get warm so you still probably want to use a mitt just in case, or if you have asbestos hands like us that slaved in kitchens for years have, it's mildly uncomfortable to grab. In short, they do get hot but they aren't too bad. The lid is a tight fit and heavy, catching steam as intended. I do have a dishwasher but I so far haven't had a reason to put this in it since it handwashes so easy and fast. All in all, I'd love to have a full set of this fall out of the sky. It's really nice to use and work with. Not sure I can justify spending all that money for a full set, but a few select pieces would be wonderful.

When I first got this pot, I seasoned it as the instructions said and then cooked eggs in it. Granted, this style pot is not optimal for cooking eggs, but I just wanted to test out the non-stick properties. The pan is indeed non-stick. The eggs didn't "float" around like to do on some of those super slick non-stick pans, but they didn't stick and were easy to remove from the pot. Afterwards, just a little spray from the kitchen faucet was all that was needed to clear any little bits of egg that were left in the pot. Since then, I've used this pot to make soups. I like that I can sauté my peppers and onions and brown my meats in the same pot that I'm making the soup in. None of that stuff sticks to the pot. Cleanup afterwards is super easy. It is obvious when you pick up this pot that it is a quality, well-made, professional looking cooking tool. I love the welded handles that don't have rivets on the inside of the pot that can catch bits of food.

Great cookware. The nice thing about this DiamondClad pot is that it will still sear and brown food nicely, but it does not stick. And I appreciate that it is PFOA-free. Although they say metal utensil safe, I do not like to use metal utensils in this. I just do not want to take a chance. Maybe just a personal mental thing. I do like that this is oven safe. I often will prepare food in a pot or pan and then either finish cooking in the oven or stick it in there to stay warm. Honestly, just handling the pot, it screams quality. We are really enjoying cooking with this pot.

I had seen pans like these for a whole lot more money. This does not feel cheaply made whatsoever. It's got a good weight to it and it feels super quality. My husband is the one that does most the cooking he loves it. It's a great size and it came well packaged. It's easy to clean and totally worth it
