It also features a high-efficiency brushless motor to help maximize run time and motor life and auto-oiling for continuous lubrication. This Combo kit includes a FLEXVOLT 60V MAX 3-Ah battery that powers 60V MAX tools or it can be backwards compatible to work with 20V MAX tools at 9-Ah. The convenience makes this incredibly valuable to have in the arsenal. I can have a friend cover yard work when I'm out of town and I don't have to deal with all the extra instruction of gas handling. Worth getting the 60v over the 20v version. I did so much research that I thought this had the adjustable shaft. It actually has the adjustable handle. This weedeater is taller than me and I was able to move the handle to help. I put a strap on it to put around my shoulders to help hold it up. It does work good for what I need it for. The string is a bear to change. I had to find a video on the internet to actually figure out how to do it. The end where the string goes is really hard to get off, certainly not as easy as videos suggest. I would love to buy the ends that has the string already wound but that would cost me too much money. Instead, I bought string and do it myself. I'm getting better the more I do it and watch the link I've saved to help me step by step. I might research and get one who's shaft is adjustable to help my shoulders. That is totally my fault. The trimmer is about as heavy as a gas trimmer. The difference is there is more weight at the string end because there is an electric motor there. Otherwise, this thing is great. I bought this because my wife wants to trim but didn't like a gas trimmer. Now I get a little help with the yard....money well spent! ... show more

This thing could be used during a Zombie apocalypse. It's wildly powerful. It pulled a stick off the ground and flung it at my torso; I Almost got D.E.D. I was so used to the rotation of my old weed whacker I had to get used to this DeWalt and the Opposite way this thing flung debris. After I almot got a sycamore branch through the gizzards, I promptly ordered the guard extension. I would strongly advise having situational awareness when using this. Whoever is in a 100 yard vicinity is potentially putting life and limb in jeopardy. Even wearing pants will have little protection from getting pummeled by RPG-Backblast-force yardwork. ... show more

It performs beautifully. It took a couple of weeks to get here and it came with no charger and a bad battery. Someone sent me a charger but it is a 12-20 volt, not 20-60 volt. I am the Proud owner of a battery that won't take a charge and a charger I can't use.

Bought these and love them so far. Trimmer has enough power for regular home use. Swapped chainsaw to Oregon 14" chainsaw bar and chain. Perfect length for what I have at home, 16" was too much.

Not much just say other than don't buy this product. Used it but afterwards I was done saw smoke coming out of the motor and could smell it burning. Didn't use it till following week well was going to use it started it up fine but the moment I started cutting the weeds it died smoking really bad and now only makes clicking sounds trying to turn the head. Complete waste of money don't buy this electric weed trimmer go with a different brand. Side note the string that comes with it sucks and the string feeder is abysmal and horrible design compared to Milwaukee's electric weed trimmer. ... show more
