First I have to say this fan is listed for a great price. The assembly of the unit was easy other than mounting the remote receiver inside the fan base. The way it's mounted caused me to drop the screws repeatedly but once I was past that, the rest of it was easy to assemble. The base of the fan has extrusions that the fan blades click onto & then each blade requires 1 screw which was very simple. I mounted the bracket onto the ceiling junction box easily enough & then hung the fan onto the hook that's provided while I did the wiring. At that point I found that there was only 1 screw to attach the fan to the mounting bracket. It requires 3 screws & they are a very uncommon size (M4x15mm with pan heads & coarse threads). I actually spent about 3 hours of the day at different hardware stores & can't find them. I willprobably have to purchase the screws online. I do have the fan installed & it is in use since the fan is installed onto the mounting base, it has to be turned & holds onto the base. I currently only have it installed with 1 screw but it was too much of a hassle to remove the fan & reinstall the light for the interim. The fan itself works well & it's small & quiet but it really moves a lot of air! The light fixture is dimmable & the color can be changed to white, natural or warm. Also a remote control is included with the fan. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries (not included) & there is a bracket with hardware to hold the remote control. Overall, I'm pleased with the fan & it's operation. I took off 1 star due to the missing hardware. I almost removed 2 stars since I can't purchase the hardware locally but I have to say I like the fan enough & the price is great so I'm going to leave it with a 4 star review. ... show more

The light is great with the multiple settings and the timer is so useful, as we often forget to turn off the light when we're done working out. This fan surprised me in a good way. Yeah, the blades and housing are ABS plastic, so don’t expect a full metal build, but the motor frame and mounting plate are metal, which gives it some weight where it counts. One thing I really appreciated was the light offering multiple color temperatures instead of just being dimmable. It’s nice being able to pick a warmer tone for a bedroom or something cooler for a workspace. Also, even though the blades just snap in, they lock in super tight. I tried pulling one out and it wasn’t easy at all, so I feel good about them staying secure even when it's running at high speed.
