***Update*** I was almost immediately contacted by the company, and they took immediate and appropriate steps to make the situation right. I have added a star based on this, and am overall satisfied with the situation. I bought this fan in a 2 pack, and have installed 1 of 2. It was bad enough that I haven't decided yet if I even want to put the other one up. For starters, all the components are relatively low quality. At the price point, that's really to be expected, but the level of quality exhibited here is to the extreme that it made assembly very challenging at certain points, on a project that I've done dozens of time, and typically would consider a very simple task. The blade brackets are where most of my concerns were concentrated. They are unnecessary complicated. Most of the holes were slightly undersized, and would not allow the screws to pass through to thread into the blade, so they then have to be threaded into the bracket, and then into the blade, which is just a pain. The brackets have multiple sets of holes and only one set is correct. The blade and bracket also incorporate a 3 piece design, which is a little annoying to put together, because you need a 3rd hand to make it work. Additionally, the bracket can be accidently flipped upside down, and will still fit together, but will not function that way. I didn't fall for it, but watch out if you're a DIY guy winging it here. It would be easy to mess up the orientation. Worst of all, the holes that secure the blade brackets to the motor suck. Spatially, there is not room to use a drill to spin them in, so you're doing all 10 screws by hand. The threads for these 10 holes were all trash. Multiple screws threaded in partway, and then wouldn't go any further without significant force being applied. I thought perhaps I had cross threaded the first one, but as it became a consistent problem, I started running each hole out with a 1/4-20 tap to clean out the threads, and that ended my issue for the most part. The screws themselves are very soft, and could be easily stripped inadvertently, even with a screwdriver, so the tap kit really was a lifesaver here, and it's a tool that not everybody has at their disposal. The stupid remote receiver just barely fits in place where it's supposed to to, so there's a good deal of finagling to be done there. I would have much rather just had 2 pull chains. Once assembly is complete the fan looks fine. The light is plenty bright enough for the application. Visibly, I wouldn't say that it looks particularly cheap. If you don't know what you're doing, this fan might be a real challenge for you, so just be mindful of that. I think a 3 star review is pretty fair, considering all the factors involved. It runs smoothly and quietly.

I purchased for my living room not paying attention that I ordered the 42” inch which was definitely too small for my living room but it worked out cause I was planning on replacing one in one of my guest rooms anyway and this size worked for that room. Easy install and I love the look of the ceiling fan. We have had family stopping by to show them our new home and this fan was complimented.

Looks great; install was a pain. Significant shakiness. It comes with a clip on leveler and two weights. You add the leveler to each blade until it balances on the highest speed and add a weight or two once you locate the blade that creates the best balance. Easy Peezy! The only reason why I drop it a star is because of the light. I purchased two fan sets. One set the bulbs blew out within 30 seconds of install. The second set is very dim. My cell phone lights up the room better than the bulbs. I purchased stronger daylight bulbs. I thought it was odd that I purchased two sets, and they came with different types of bulbs. Fans come with a couple of gloves. Make sure to use them or a rag when installing the bulbs. Don’t want oil or sweat on these bulbs or they will certainly blow. Additionally, the pre-drilled screw holes for the blades were too small on one set. I widen the holes with a drill. The holes were perfect on the other fan. Works great for small areas, and looks great once installed. I would purchase another set if needed.
