My dog has Cushing’s disease and a swollen liver so I tried these. She will eat anything, but not these. I can get them into her with a pill pocket. It’s only been a week, no idea if they are helping

I don’t write reviews. Seems I’m always status quo. Don’t love or hate what I buy. This purchase seems different. Our 10 year old dog was diagnosed with spleen cancer that was spreading into liver. We opted to remove spleen but upon liver enzyme tests, vet determined surgery wouldn’t help because liver enzymes were already off charts. Prognosis was 3-4 week life expectancy. Mentioned milk thistle so we read about it and decided to give it a try. Two months in and wouldn’t know she was terminal. Can’t say for sure milk thistle is why but for $20 a month. Why not? Our dog will eat anything but won’t take tablet alone. Have to wrap in cheese or turkey.

The media could not be loaded. My dog is a 18 lb 1 year old Shiba Inu. I bought this because I want to maintain her liver and kidneys while she is still young, but I didn’t want to get anything with too many ingredients. I liked how there was bacon and salmon flavors in here. I tried introducing the scent to her first by cracking open the bottle and in the video you can see she came right to it. Next she chewed it up in pieces as I gave it to her and she ate it up. We didn’t experience any diarrhea or vomiting following the chew. A+! It’s far too early to tell if this is working but I know this will be good to remove any toxins from her liver. It’s very helpful that it tells you the allotted dosage right at the back and how the ingredients are beneficial. I think this is worth the price point and would purchase again if we do see further improvements. Plus Yuzu our dog liked it a lot! Glad we don’t have to hide or conceal this pill in cheese or meat.

Full disclaimer - I use a pill wrapping product when I give these to him, but he does not chew that off and spit out the pill (like other ones), so I am going with the thought that he enjoys the taste of these. The vet recommended this to help with his liver function and that has been improving while he has been taking these. These are a lot easier to use than the powders that get sprinkled on food, too.
